"I absolutly love this phone! It is the best phone I have ever bought. The text messaging is very easy to use and quick to respond to. The voice quality is also very good. The set up of the menu is very user friendly. The best thing is how customized you can make the phone set up to your own daily use. The camera and video quality were very impressive to me. The phone size is perfect. It is easy to fit into a pocket, and not too bulky. I also love how super chic the phone looks. The battery life I have found to be very dependable and long lasting. The only con I found is that the internet use is only "ok". It is a bit slow and the set up is not always that efficent to figure out and use. So over all, this phone is awesome for someone who is looking for great voice quality, battery life, easy and quick texting, camera and video, total touch screen, and great look and size of phone. If you plan on using the interent often, you might get frusterated with this phone. Also as a side note, I would strongly recommend getting a Zagg invisible phone shield to protect the screen. I got the full phone body cover from Zagg and it was definatly worth it. Check it out [...]"

Ability to text (picture and message) and access email was also important. The phone did have great features and picture resolution was the best I've seen for a camera phone. However, after 7 days of trying to learn and really use the phone, I was very disappointed. The sound quality of calls was poor and the touch screen would never consistently respond to my touch. This was especially aggravating since I put so much time into learning to use the phone. Eventually I decided the phone was not worth the aggravation or expense. I returned it and chose to go with the Blackberry Curve. One day on the Blackberry and I was already in love!"

"The LG Dare is absolutely amazing. I have owned it for a week now, and, after owning 15 different phones, I must say that this one absolutely takes the cake.
The phone is very slim and light, which I like. I dont like to feel like i have a big brick in my pocket. This I cant even feel, its very slim.
The touchscreen is great. There is a slight vibration when you touch the screen so you know that the phone recognized your touch. This vibration can be customized to be a Short, Double, or Long vibration, and you can change the vibration to be Low, Medium, or High.
This phone is fast. Unlike some of my past phones (notably the Motorola RAZR) you had to wait a VERY long time for menus. Not this phone. Im very impressed at which the speed it preforms operations - especially for the level of technology that this phone is at.
The Camera on this phone is very good. At 3.2 megapixels, it is the highest megapixel camera on a cell phone in the U.S. There is face detection on it as well. Indoors, photos tend to be a bit blurry (low light), but outdoors they come out quite well.
Reception on this phone is very good. Only rarely do i have no bars, and even then calls and texts can still be placed.
Also, battery life is very good. 2-3 days I get on mine, with heavy usage of music, text, and internet. (This may vary by use)
Okay, on to features.
Internet browser - best browser I have seen on a feature phone (non-smartphone). Full HTML - that means no junky mobile pages. If you want you can disable images so that pages load faster.
Music - absolutely wonderful. You can put your music on this phone, and it supports up to an 8GB microSD card. I havent used my ipod for music since i got this phone. Another great thing about music on here is that you can start playing a song, and then text, browse the internet, etc - and the music will keep playing. If you get a call, the music will pause and resume when you pick up.
On screen Keyboard - I personally use the on screen T9 keyboard for texting. The QWERTY works very well, and I use that primarily for web browsing. Both are very very responsive. Although they do require a bit of time to get used to, they work very well.
Overall, 10/10. I love this phone. It is great. It is the best phone out for Verizon right now, and I think that it will continue to be a phone to which others will be compared."
"I have had this phone for about a week. I came from a smartphone and, it would make life a whole lot easier if I could have an iPhone but I refuse to deal with AT&Ts; customer service so the LG it is. LG always makes a great product-my home theater and HD tv are by them as well. They have pretty much been my favorite phone to have over the years. This one has everything you could possibly dream of for talk, text, music and pictures.
Not so good:
The other reviewer I agree with-there is about a 3-5 day window in which you will want to heave this thing out of the window with mighty force. The touchscreen can be very frustrating at times. Choosing things that aren't supposed to be chosen and other such irritations. When you are texting there is no way to go back, no way to make the cursor go back except to touch where you want it to go so mostly if you make a mistake you have to erase it all. The QWERTY keyboard I find to work well about half the time and type alot of mistakes the other half. Also, it seems as if it could be easier to get to composing the message, it seems there are too many screens to go through before you can just get to writing it.
The screen doesn't go off when it is charging which as another mentioned is quite bright and does light up the room quite a bit at night.
As coming from a smartphone the Internet on this pretty much to me stinks so if you want that in your phone at all I don't really think this phone would be for you.
Good:
The call quality and reception is very very good. Crystal clear and my house is pretty much in a dead zone so I usually always have problems. The music is also a great option and although mine is not all the way set up yet I can see me also not using my iPod very much after i do. Although I miss my 'good' Internet and my keyboard with actual buttons, I think its worth the sacrifice for the call quality, the ability it holds to be an incredible MP3 player and, the camera which really takes good pictures-it is amazing for a phone!! You will love it! Its probably my favorite overall feature. So, if you're looking for a little treat for yourself and enjoy the touch screen interface, this phone is a bit pricey but does offer much for its money and you don't have to relinquish Verizon's great customer service. Enjoy!"
"I think this product is more advanced then the Palm Treo, but the Treo keyboard was much easier to use than the touch screen. I think that they should include a stick in the phone like the treo does to pick things on the touch screen. Fingers are not always accurate as they are too big, and letters on screen too small. Scrabble screen is very small once downloaded, much better on the Treo. Treo also held addresses, LG Dare does not."

"I really love the Dare, it is quick to learn, and has user-friendly features, I really like the ability to put over a 1000 songs/picts on it as well since my Ipod went out. It looks great too! The only thing that I didn't like, is when I called my provider to be able to use it while I was in Costa Rica, they said the phone doesn't work there. I have to get a loaner for the trip which is costly. Also, my daughter will not be able to use it when she goes to Italy either, we will have to purchase another type of phone since it will be over 30 days. Surprised by this with all the technology we have nowadays. Oh well!"

"JUST GOT THIS PHONE, AFTER I HAD ORIGINALLY USED MY NEW EVERY TWO WITH VERIZON TO PURCHASE THE SAMSUNG FLIP SHOT. WHICH LOOKED LIKE A COOL PHONE WHEN I SAW IT AT THE STORE. BUT WHEN I GOT IT I SYNCED IT TO MY BLUETOOTH, AND I NOTICED STATIC ON THE BLUETOOTH WHEN THE PHONE I WAS CALLING WAS RIGNING. THEN ONCE CONNECTED IT WENT AWAY. BUT NOTICED THAT IF I HAD THE PHONE IN MY POCKET AND ON THE SAME SIDE AS THE BLUETOOTH AND PUT MY HAND OVER THE PHONE ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY PANTS THAT THE PHONE WOULD GET STATICY AND ALMOST JUST ABOUT CUT OUT ALL TOGETHER. LET ALONE IF I WALKED MORE THAN 5 FEET FROM IT. AND BEFORE I KNEW IT THE BATTERY WAS DEAD AFTER FULLY CHARGING IT? SO I RETURNED IT FOR THE DARE. WHAT A GOOD MOVE, IM SO HAPPY WITH THIS PHONE. I HAVNT HAD ONE PROBLEM WITH IT. BATTERY LIFE IS AWESOME, THE RECEPTION IS SECOND TO NONE IT BLOWS AWAY THE FLIPSHOT. ITS AMAZING IN ALL THE SPOTS IN THE HOUSE THAT I WAS DROPPING CALLS WITH THE SAMSUNG, I HAVENT DROPPED ONE YET WITH THE DARE IN THE SAME SPOTS GO FIGURE. IT IS VERY USER FRIENDLY. ITS ACTUALLY ENJOYABLE TO USE THIS PHONE. AND NO PROBLEMS WITH MY BLUETOOTH AND THAT GOES FOR ANY BLUETOOTH DEVICE I CONNECT. BECAUSE I'VE TRIED A FEW. I HIGHLY RECOMENED THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!! THANKS LG AND VERIZON FINALLY"
"Having owned a cell phone since the early 80's, this is the best I have had yet. It works flawlessly and has a very intuitive interface. The display is crisp and the layout and data entry functions are excellent. I would look no further than this phone! I have two reviews here because I bought one for my daughter also!!"

"I purchased two LG Dare's and along with the ease of use and sound quality when making a call, the keyboard is very user friendly when accessing the web or texting other people. I really like the feel of the touch screen with the feedback when you touch a key on the keyboard. I also enjoy the camera feature with the built in flash. I cannot think of any cons that would be worth mentioning about this phone that could change your mind about purchasing this phone."
