Localoc Bandette Comb

"I purchased this for my "minimalist" teen daughter. She created a stylish updo with very little effort. It was easy to use and, in my opinion, looks more professional than the claw. We also purchased a fabric flower clip to go in after being swept up with the bandette comb. We placed the flower over the bandette which made it even more suitable for the formal function she was attending. The fabric flower wasn't necessary to make it acceptable, it was just icing on the cake.



For those who have never seen this in use before:

1. Grab your hair into a pony tail.

2. Twist up like a french twist.

3. Slide the comb between the twist and your head.

4. Stretch the bandette (which is attached to one side of the comb) around the outside of the twist and secure to the other side of the comb.



I can see that over time, the bandette, which is just a thick hair tie, will wear out with everyday use, but as long as the comb is intact I should just be able to replace the bandette with a hair tie & voila! a new bandette comb!"

"I've used this comb as directed, but my favorite way to wear it is to 1) twist my hair into a neat bun on the back of my head 2) put the comb in facing down at the top of the bun, at the same time using it to catch and secure the ends and then 3) pull the band under the bun and hook it on the other side. Wears all day long. Can easily redo quickly in the bathroom at work without any other style tools (ie comb or brush) but it rarely needs it. Only problem is the I have broken the teeth on one and the elastic does stretch but I have popped in new elastics, even used colors that match my hair.
