"Although the included software disk says that it is compatible with Windows 7, the included software is not 64bit and will not run in32bit mode. Uninstalling the 32bit software was problematic. Once I downloaded the 64bit software from the Logitech website, the camera/mic worked well."

"Works very well with Skype. Didn't install included software, but only the drivers directly from the web. Skype detects it immediately, and with a dual-core processor, indicates that it is the HD video quality. Looked very good! Microphone is also very good!"

"Logitech had a very easy setup process and didn't require a ton of bloatware to use the camera. I am glad that I did install their software though - in addition to fun visual effects, the settings have some real value: the face tracking works great, and I was able to change the speaker and mic volumes to work great on my laptop.



The mounting clip is really designed for a thicker monitor than the thin laptop screen, so if you are going to use it primarily on a laptop you should look at their laptop-friendly models, but this one is acceptable if you aren't moving the computer around while using the webcam.



I was going for the C500, but the Black Friday price at Staples was terrific for the C600, so I jumped on a pair. The other one is on its way to my parents in Florida so they can see their grandchildren as often as they want."

I had a microsoft cam that i got for 40$ before and the picture quality was horrible on it and it had less special affects on it for recreational use.With this cam i can put it on top of my 42inch flat sceen with no problem and has a little shutter for paranoid people lol . To make a long story short i am very happy with the cam . Oh and for 720p caming u need high speed internet for both persons."

"I found the C600 to be easy to set up and use. One tip, if you have a 64 bit O/S (Windows 7) then don't load software from the CD; go to the Logitech website to download the correct version. The product works well with both laptop and desktop."

The avatars and effects are really fun.

We've used it with Skype and Gmail video chat and it works great. It's a little confusing how to get the session started (you have to start it from the webcam software and not gmail or skype) but once it is going it is good."
