Lollipop Video Cam CD Karaoke Player

"The sturdiest and best-engineered child's karaoke machine I have seen. The major con is the short microphone cords which smaller children will jerk and topple the machine."

"This player was great in the fact that it plays your own CD's, so you can pick what your kids listen to (vs. fisher price star station, where you have to buy their cassettes). The quality of sound is great, my son is 3 and loves being able to play his own music when he wants. The video isn't always perfectly clear, sometimes it flickers a little, but turning down the TV volume all the way helps because there is less interference. The one negative is that the microphones are not wireless, so you have to stay close to the player, but when you are close to the player it's almost impossible to get a good video shot of the kids. You might get just a portion of their heads!! Overall, for the price, it's a pretty good player."

"My 2 and 4 year old like the idea but there are problems with the construction

1. microphone cords are way too short to get into the camera's view finder

2. volume on the CD player is very weak

3. picture quality is poor

bottom line: the kids want to dance and sing to the music but if they move even a little the machine falls over or they go out of the shot."

"The machine works wonderfully. My four year old loves it except that the microphone cords are to short to be able to be on camera AND singing and dancing at the same time. One of the best features is that it has 2 mic.s so my daughter and her friend can sing at the same time."
