A must have item for every photographer
"I have bought 3 of these on separate occasions. If you use external flash speedlites and umbrellas, these are a valuable accessory for your light stands. They are very versatile and the reversible studs allows many combinations of connections. Most importantly, it's solidly constructed and won't feel like it's going to crack in the shaft and drop your valuable equipment. Do yourself a favor, forget saving $5..." Read Full Review »

Not the Best - Especially for Strobists
"This is a solidly built umbrella adapter. A little heavier but much more solid, reliable and better designed than those cheap square plastic ones (Impact 3117, Photoflex AC-BSWCP, etc.). If you need an umbrella adapter with two female studs, such as for using with a studio light, than this, or the Photoflex AC-BALGS (which is less prone to slipping) are your best options. "Unlike the plastic ones this one is metal and feels solid. Levers and knobs are all different shapes for quick adjustments and so you wont accidently unscrew the wrong one especially at night. "

"This is an extremely well made umbrella adapter. Set it and it stays where you want it with no aggravations. I have other brand adapters that I bought or came with kits. Those adapters never get used because they just don't perform like the Manfrotto. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. "

"This has to be the most well-made, versatile adapter made. It comes with both top and bottom brass inserts, is completely flexible and heavy construction. I was very pleased to find that the angle lever is spring-loaded so it can be repositioned for easy operation. "
