"I got this dryer from Sears Outlet store because it had some scratches on the side but otherwise it was working fine. It has been three weeks since I got it and I must say that it works great! You set it up to the Energy Preferred setting and it does the job well. As soon as cloths are dry it turns itself off. I also like its extra capacity. It's roomy! Great buy and I would definitely recommend it to anyone...." Read Full Review

"After 3 years the bearings and belts and what not are shot. Right now the dryer is in the garage squealing like a very angry pterodactyl. Never again on Maytag. I have a Microwave oven with vent from maytag. I can't use the vent that has always been noisy but now it sounds broke...." Read Full Review
"Love the large capacity and the interior of the tub is white and without any crevices in which items can get stuck, burned or stained. (This was a huge problem with my last dryer.) The energy efficient low heat setting sometimes leaves clothes damp but I just put it on the timed dry for 20 mins and the clothes are perfect. I have not yet tried the high heat energy efficient setting- that probably works better. Makes some running noise but not bad at all- no thumping or squeaking. Overall I recommend this dryer."

"Easy to use dryer and I recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced dryer. It gets the job done and it doesn't take 3 hours to dry your clothes. Ordering online was easy and quick. Home Depot delivered the dryer as promised. I would buy again from the site."
"We just purchased the Maytag Centennial Dryer MGDC400VW, and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering purchasing a new dryer. The price was right at $329 for the gas dryer, which regularly sells for $479. The dryer has a capacity of 7 cubic feet, which dries a lot of clothes at once. There is also a light inside the dryer so you can see what you are doing. The machine runs quietly and has a sensor that automatically shuts the dryer off when the clothes are dry. You can also choose a timed dry cycle and select the amount of time you would like the dryer to run. On the high heat setting, there is a nice option called "wrinkle prevent," which periodically starts and stops the dryer, tumbling the load without heat to avoid wrinkling. This dryer is easy to use, quiet and efficiently dries clothes by shutting itself off automatically when your laundry load is dry. I would give it a thumbs up!"
"This dryer has a large drum-seems bigger than a 7.0, a large door opening, and dries clothes very well. For this extremely low price, you won't get the extras (steam, time remaining, touch up, etc), but it gets the job done. I have mainly used the energy saver cycle and it has done very well. It actually dries better than some previous, more expensive dryers I've had with the extra features. The only con is the lint trap being on top can be a little messy. I've found that if you use a fabric softener sheet to clean it out, the mess is minimized. The only thing I'm unsure of is which cycle is the best to use for touch-ups. Overall, great dryer for an outstanding value. I hope it lasts."
"I am very pleased with the Maytag gas dryer recently purchased from Home Depot, along with the excellent delivery service. My clothes feel softer and dry in less time. The convenient lint trap being on the top of the dryer saves getting lint on your clothes when removing from dryer. Draw back? You have to clean the lint that may spill from the trap onto the top of the dryer instead of the floor! Seriously, the lint trap on top is a wonderful idea!"
"No problems whatsoever with this Maytag dryer and none foreseen. It will hold anything normal that a household could offer with ease. The controls are simple and easy to understand. After just moments of reading the basics it was up and running. Heats up quickly and runs smooth and quiet. That pesky missing sock syndrome is virtually eliminated by the nice bright (but not annoying) light that comes on when the door is opened. Our room location required the dryer have a left hinged door so the great Home Depot delivery guys switched the reversible door to open that way with no problem. We're very satisfied with this product and the Home Depot service. Buy with confidence."
"I researched gas dryers and found that this particular brand & model did very well with Consumer Reports. It's large (7 Cu Ft) and drys clothes well. When we use the 'Energy Preferred' setting, some clothes are still damp. All in all though it consistently drys well. Noise is moderate.
Ordered the dryer online (free shipping) and it came within days. Installers were cordial, professional and installed/tested the dryer for us."

"Received my new Kenmore gas dryer 6 weeks ago, and I am beyond pleased with this dryer. Very large interior drum, interior light (love that), and drys clothes wonderfully. I run the energy efficient cycles most times, but really, the different settings (high heat energy efficient, low heat energy efficient, timed heat setting, and air dry) all work perfectly for my different needs. Goodness, my bed linens and blankets come out beautifully, not to mention my delicate clothes and my husband's dress shirts as well. Also, I love the end of cycle buzzer that tells me the load is finished drying. Thank you Kenmore, I am a VERY pleased customer."
