So far so good

★★★★★
5.0

"Installed easy, don't forget the compression elbow and electrical outlet restraint from your old washer. Tall tub is great. Able to put things on the top rack that I could not with my old Maytag. Able to stand baking dishes on end in the lower rack which is an added plus.

Tines are kind of close together so if you have thick dishes they have to be stacked a space apart. The silver ware holder has no handle so you might want to keep the one on your old dishwasher if it fits. I kept the entire lower rack.

Seems quiet but we stapled extra insallation (1 inch thick) inside the cabinet area where the dishwasher was installed. You have to make sure you really seal the dishwasher in. The sound has to hit the dishwasher and cabinet to be absorded correctly. We ran the dishwasher with the lower plate off just to check leaks and the sound coming from the opened area was loud. When sealed properly the sound was quite muffled.

Runs longer then my old dishwasher (1 hour) but the old dishwasher did not do the job right. Seems like the last 1/2 hour it is in a continual rinse cycle and you can cancel it at any time.

It's been 1 week and no problems."

Got it right the first time!

★★★★★
5.0

"This is my first dishwasher I've ever bought. I read the reviews on this dishwasher and others and thought it would be a good choice because even though there were very few reviews written about it, it was still rated high and was extremely affordable. It just didn't make sense to buy a higher priced dishwasher with all the bells and whistles yet with a low rating. Normal setting is just fine for me and all my dishes come out sparkling clean and super dry. Not having anything to compare it to I would still have to say that I find it to be very quiet. Had to bust out an existing cupboard but other than a few trips to the hardware store it went very well. Instructions were a little odd with mainly pictures to follow. I bought mine in February for my birthday present and it cost me less than $300 at the time. I am so happy that I got this right the first time and avoided all the disastrous events that I read in reviews on other brands and styles of dishwashers."

Think this is a good dishwasher? Just wait!!!

"My husband and I bought this dishwasher less than 4 years ago. Every review here is correct, except it won't last long. After 2 years, the door wouldn't shut. My husband dismantled it and discovered it's held in place by 2 very tiny plastic tabs. My daughter's Happy Meal toys are more sturdy than this door. He was able to repair the dishwasher by purchasing and installing a new door assembly at a cost of $75.00. At least we didn't have to pay any labor charges.

Now it's 1 1/2 years later and same problem, the door won't shut. It's the same cheap part, snapped off again. We're looking for a new dishwasher and needless to say, we'll never buy any Maytag product ever again."

Great addition to the Family!

★★★★★
5.0

"Our family had never owned a dishwasher and when we bought our first home, it never came equipt. with one. Sence buying the house we had our first child and have lived here for 2 years without one. My wife had always said " Oh, I wish we had a dishwasher, it would save so much time having to wash all the bottles and childern items." I never really thought much of it till we became pregnant with our second child and it was really going to add to the dishes load. So I actually ripped out cuboards and cabinents to install this wonderful product, and it could possibly be the best investment and addition to the house yet (As far as appliances go). I've always felt a though I had a dishwasher, but it turns out my wife is getting sick of doing dishes. I now have to oppolgize to my wife for thinking so rudely and I appreciate everything she does for us. Sence I installed this wonderful White Maytag 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher w/ Jetclean II Wash System, I have found myself being much more willing and just taking it uppon myself to want to wash dishes and don't really mind putting away afterwords. Haven't seen or had any issues with it, and it's very quiet. We like to run it before we head to bed at night, and we can't even hear it down the hall in our bedroom. The sanitize feature is wonderful for the kids bottles and utensils. I would recomentd this product to anyone, and any man who doesn't currently help there wives with the dishes. I'm Sorry honey, I'm a changed Man! Thanks Sears and Maytag!!!"

"I really needed a new dishwasher. One that actually cleaned the dishes. This is a wonderful dishwasher. I haven't has any issues. It was a little bigger than my last one so we had a hard time fitting it in the same space, but no other problems. It's a beautiful machine, not silent, cleans like a dream. It takes almost twice as long to run a cycle than the last one I had but the dishes come out spotless. Even un-rinsed. Even the plastic is dry. If your dishwasher is an older model, like mine was (11 yrs), this one will be a wonderful addition to your kitchen."

PIECE OF JUNK

★☆☆☆☆
1.0

"This dishwasher is maybe 5 years old. We have had many problems. Here are the ones that quickly come to mind (there may be more) 1)very noisy 2)door handle broken 2x 3)upper rack broken many different ways at different times (yes we are using it correctly) 4)draining pump or something went kaput 5)the door opens really low to floor, so if you can't bend over this is not for you 6)watering system sometimes makes funny noises while running...We had a portable Kenmore that was WAY better."

Terrific dishwasher

★★★★★
5.0

"This dishwasher is a terrific bargain!

Dishes come out spotless and dry, and it makes very little noise. Compared to my old rusty dishwasher, this is quite an upgrade. I had it installed by a plumber, who said it was very easy and quick to install. The only complaint I have is that the door doesn't open all the way down. Maybe it'll loosen up a little over time; it seems to be opening more each time I use it. Oh, the best part - I bought it on sale AND on a tax free weekend."
