"Our unit came with a very loud buzzing vibration when the compressor was warmed up and running. By shimming the front of the frame we could reduce the buzz or make it go away for a few hours.. It took two weeks to get a warranty service person out, and while the buzz was banished for almost 8 hours, his bending of the condenser coil and the refrigerant lines has not completely solved the issue. HIgh Frequency Noisemaker

"The compressor noise on this refrig includes a high frequency ringing component that is very irritating to the ear. Maytag sent out a serviceperson that claimed the noise was within their acceptable range and as long as the refrig was cold, it was fine.
