At the pinnacle of patterning and materials technology, ARCTERYX created the high-capacity Bora 80 Backpack for the sophisticated backcountry traveler.

  • The lightweight 420D Ripstorm fabric is custom designed to bond securely with its polyurethane waterproof coating. Translation: Durably waterproof for the long haul.
  • External kangaroo pocket with a centered watertight zip and unique drain hole to stash your wet tent and shovel.
  • 3-dimensional rounded patterning maximizes volume with minimal fabric and sewing for a strong, light, efficient, and easily packed bag.
  • Injection molded occipital cavity maintains permanent head mobility no matter how much you have in your pack.
  • Two elegantly stowable water bottle pockets are there when you need them but gone when you don't.
  • Thermoformed back panel and interchangeable hipbelt contour around the human form without pressure points to ensure comfort hours into your trek
  • Renowned Bora suspension puts the load on your lower back and hips yet holds the pack close to your back so it won't flop around when you crawl under a downed tree.
  • Full watertight side zipper just in case you put your sandwich in the bottom of your pack.

It does everything...

"...except haul the kitchen sink and bath tub! Ah NUTS! :PI have been hiking/backpacking/mountaineering since I was in the Boy Scouts as a teenager. Now that I am much older, I am still in love with the back-country, and that will never change.I bought my first backpack when I was 11. In this regard, I have a bit of experience. The pack that I bought, oh so many years ago, was a "Camp Trails" External Frame ..." Read Full Review »

Good Traditional, Not Good for New

"Pros: Tough, seemingly durable, heavy duty design and construction, definitely water resistant for a sustained downpour. A well-thought out TRADITIONAL work pack for carrying large or heavy loads for many trips. With a high load, it rides amazingly well on the hips. A few extra kilograms is hardly noticeable, except your legs may remind you of need for conditioning for a few days. A low load, however, pulls on..." Read Full Review »

"I've had my Bora 80 for 8 years! It is still an exceptional pack with no flaws or defects. I have replaced the hip belt once as I lost the big plastic clip during a move. Surprisingly, the pack's current design is still identical to mine, although the blue color is a little lighter now.
