"These sneakers look great and are very comfortable. Many shoes seem to be designed around smaller feet and when that design is used on a larger shoe it isn't flatterring. However, these sneakers look great in a large size and do not make my feet look like flippers (size 15)!..." Read Full Review

"In a year, I've been thru 5 pairs of Gel Kayano 15s. I love the shoe, but I've had the same problem with every pair. The shoe develops a hole in the fabric of the heel in a little over a month. Also completely wears thru the fabric on both shoes at the top next to the shoelace holes on both shoes and on both sides of the shoe. I cant afford these shoes anymore. I tried the Gel 16s, but the offset lacing feel..." Read Full Review
Pros:
"Best running shoe I have owned. I used to run with Brooks Trance 7's, but I switched over to the Asics Gel Kayano after Brooks discontinued the Trance 7's. The Kayanos are rugged and provide good support for their long life. I began using my first pair of Asics Gel Kayanos the week prior to a half marathon. Getting used to the shoe was easy, with the downfall of a little bit of a bloody heal (least of my worries). The same pair lasted through a few 5Ks, marathon training and the Chicago Marathon. During the marathon the shoes got soaked once the fire hydrants were opened and did not deteriorate or cause any problems. I bought my second pair a few months after the marathon, as I started to train for an ultramarathon and the shoes became stiff. These shoes are the best pair of versatile running shoes I have every used. I definitely recommend them to the runner who needs a little more support from novice to expert."
Pros:
"I run at least 3 times a week 4 to 5 miles per. My regiment consist of running one mile backwards and 3 to 4 miles forward. I'm not a roadrunner; I run only on an outdoor track however, if the weather is bad, I hit the treadmill at the gym. I've tried Nike but feel they make more of a fashion type shoe than a true running shoe. This is my third pair and I'm looking forward to my forth. Happy trails."
Pros:
"I had purchased two pairs of the Kayano 12s and I was a little worried about "upgrading" because that model was great for me. I did a bit of research and found rave reviews about the 15s so I figured I would give them a try.
I based my shoe size purchase off of the 12s, and the sizing was perfect. The shoes were immediately comfortable and required only a run or two to break in perfectly for me. I require orthodics due to arch problems, which these shoes accomodate very well by being able to remove the shoe's insole.
Up until I received the Kayano 15s, I had been running down my 12s and they were not providing the cushioning I needed any longer, resulting in some shin splints. After a few runs with the 15s, the shin splints completely went away and I was able to run and train like normal.
I'm a huge Asics fan, and these shoes delivered. I highly recommend these shoes and did not experience any of the problems other reviews noticed (like blisters etc.)."
Pros:
"I purchased these shoes for my 10 year old son. I know it sounds crazy to spend this kind of money but, he began getting heel fractures last year. We did the whole impression thing and had orthotics made for his shoes (Nike) Everything seemed to be okay until just recently. He was having lots of pain again, in taking him back to the specialist, we found out he had opened up one of the fractures again. He also has a problem with his ankle turning in when he stands. This shoe will not allow him to turn his foot in the wrong direction. This shoe has been a Godsend to us! He put them on, and immediately no pressure points, sore spots, or anything. He runs around like a very active 10 year old should. He plays on a travel baseball team and will play any sport at any time. He said they are so comfortable! He hasn't had any heel or ankle complaints since we have purchased these shoes! I would recommend them to anyone with lots of feet issues! We are more than satisfied!!!"
Pros:
"I'm 6'1" and 185lbs and typically run about 30 miles per week on average. I train mostly for full and half marathons and I'm currently on my second pair of Kayano 15's.
First of all, the cushioning is sublime. Truly. I've been in Nike, Mizuno, Pearl Izumi, New Balance and a few others, but the K15's offer the best impact protection of anything I've run in previously.
The fit is really nice, for the most part. Good heel cup and the arch wrap area is nice and snug without being restrictive. However, I do with the toe box was a bit roomier, but that's just preference as everyone has a different foot shape.
Support is good in these as I tend to be a pretty severe over-pronator, but combined with my orthotic the K15 does a good job keeping me on the straight and narrow.
The biggest drawback that I can find is that the out sole wears somewhat quickly. After about 200 miles the toe off area is almost completely gone, as well as the outer heel area. I know everyone wears shoes differently, but none of my previous brands wore like these in those areas. They're still usable, just be aware that you might get a lot of sole wear.
For what it's worth, I'm considering buying a 3rd pair before they're all gone."
Pros:
"I run no less than 2 miles every day that it's not raining too hard to do so. Even then I try to go to the indoor track at the school. I have always believed that a good runner can't be great without a great pair of shoes and these have so far been the best that I've ever bought. I tend to run on my toes and without a good pair of shoes I run the toes down quickly and am not given enough support in my arch. I have had no problem with these. They make the run feel less jarring to my joints, more secure traction, and just more comfortable over all. I have found myself taking longer and quicker runs just from the relief of not pounding my legs as much. LOVE the shoes!"
Pros:
"I LOVE the look of Asics in general. The Kayano 15's feel great because they absorb shock well & they just feel good when you walk in them. I have gotten many compliments on these shoes & I've only had them a week. The only downside I notice about them - I have a bunion on one foot & most shoes do not bother it but this shoe does. Its getting better b/c I try to keep the laces loose & Im noticing them feeling better as the shoe stretches a bit. It appears awful narrow across the top, where the toes are & I ordered & received a wide shoe. Im not sure yet if they're worth the [$] that I paid but maybe I need to give them more of a chance."

Cons:
"For me this has been the best fitting sneaker I can remember wearing, and best of all is its stability. I've been suffering with Plantar Faciatis for a year now, and even though I have had arch
inserts in other sneakers (including other Asics models) this is by far the best and has helped cure my problem."
Pros:
"I had the Orange Kayano15's before these Red 15's. I put well over 350 miles in them while training for my 1st Marathon. I loved the snug fit. After 350 miles it was time for a new pair. I went and bought this years model Kayano16, ran in them twice and was experiencing ankle pain. Turns out the lacing on this model was changed significantly for me to where I had a lot of movement in the front part of my foot while running. The snug fit was gone. So I returned them and bought 2 pairs of the 15's again. I just ran my 1st marathon this past weekend with no significant foot discomfort. Here's to hoping Asics brings back the 15 lacing style!"
