Can't go wrong here
"I wear my boots to work and they have to be polished. I dyed my boots cordovan and polised them - wow, they look great and took the treatment well! The rand protects the shine. The boots were comfortable out of the box and keep getting better. I would be very satisfied even if I had paid full price...." Read Full Review »

Rugged, rough, and stuffy
"Its hard to beat a pair of Asolo boots for this price. They are one of the few companies that still makes all-round quality boots. However, I would say there are two deficiencies in this boot. First of all, the Gore-Tex doesn't mean anything. These boots do not breathe--I had sweaty feet on mild days, and I don't sweat a lot. Straight full-grain leather would be better. "I have done a lot of mountain trails at 8-12,00 feet. These boots are great for stabilizing you on rough trails and on long treks. Use heavy wool socks with liners.
They work well in hurricanes with severe debris.
