Designed with The North Face chimney venting system, the Insulated Freedom pant efficiently provides breathability and warmth so you can reduce layering and added bulk. HyVent 2-layer laminate keeps the weather from stealing your power, while the durafialle nylon weave stands up to an enormous amount of use and abuse.

  • Seam-sealed HyVent 2-layer laminate stops wind & weather, and it breathes to keep your heat from making you cold
  • Heatseeker insulation is superlight, compressible for low bulk and durable to keep you warm for many cold seasons
  • Chimney venting system uses a stretch vent to circulate air through your pants to keep you dry. The upper leg vent can be closed to lock out powder and rain.
  • Cargo pocket and articulate knees for moving fast
  • Waist Adjustment tabs allow for all-season base layering
  • Free fit with a contemporary, generous cut
  • Waterproofing: 2-Layer HyVent laminate
    • Shell: Nylon
      • Inseam: 31 inch (Medium)

Amazing

"Main use for product is winter backcountry hiking, snowshoeing and winter day treks. Found the pants to be very comfortable and form fitting. I do wish they gave another cargo pocket to the other side and maybe inner thigh venting zips but overall I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I haven't put them to extreme use yet and I'll wait to see how they hold up over time but for right now I can't take them off...." Read Full Review »

Keeps you dry and warm!

"I got these for winter mountaineering and while they keep me warm and dry, they are too bulky. I also don't like that the snow cuff at the ankle isn't adjustable. The cuffs are too loose and don't stay put over your boots very well allowing snow to get in. For skiing/snowboarding, I'm sure they would be solid performers. However, for mountaineering use, I wouldn't recommend them at all...." Read Full Review »

Great Performance

"These pants keep you warm and dry all day long (with a base layer, naturally), I havent had an issue with them yet. They seem to be very durable (its still early in the season, so well see) and vent well when youre overheating or go inside. I think they might be a little big for me (these are medium …"  Read Full Review »

"In short, a great pant. Kept me warm and dry all day while skiing and sledding while temperatures were in the teens and it snowed heavily. However, you may want to go one size smaller than sizing chart would indicate.

The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant - Men's Review

An okay ski pant---good for the price

★★★★☆
4.0

"Im not thrilled with these ski pants, but for the $140 they cost Im certainly not disappointed. The fit is very good...just baggy enough to look cool, but not overly snowboarder/Tanner Hall gangster-baggy. The DWR finish didnt last that long and I found myself re-treating the pants about twice per …"  Read Full Review »
