These are great

"Well, if you have watched Chris Sharma in these, you know they fade quick. By quick, I mean 3-6 months depending on the frequency of outdoor climbing and washing. These also seem a bit flimsy. I know that they pill like hell and don't seem to withstand a lot of abuse from rock, that said, these shorts are covering the parts of your body that should not be contacting rock hard EVER. "I thought the elastic band at the top felt a bit odd to wear and a little snug, sort of like the band from compression shorts sewn to regular shorts. Perhaps there is some benefit to this in a climbing harness, but otherwise the design and material is comparable to other sport shorts that typically cost less or to travel shorts that have more features...."
