With a torsionally optimized chassis, the speed oriented XA Pro 3D trail runner from Salomon includes a 3D system that stops the foot from over-flexing, stabilizes the ankle and absorbs impact, while a lowered profile and Contagrip sole enhance cornering.

The sandwich mesh uppers combine multiple layers of mesh that let cool air flow through to soothe your feet
Quickfit lacing ensures a custom fit and the gusseted tongue keeps out debris
Endowed with a 3D advanced chassis that reduces ankle strain and fatigue through a combination forward flex control, lateral support and progressive lateral flexion that absorbs shock and increases stability
Contagrip running sole is the perfect blend of grip and durability to cover mixed terrain at high speeds

"The XA Pro 3D's are great all around outdoor shoes. I've used them for orienteering and hiking (with a light pack) as well as for casual use around town and when traveling. I can be better

"Overall a good shoe, not great. It's light weight causes it loose something in the category of support. I replaced the factory inserted sole with one from Superfeet. It made a remarkable difference. That said, the shoe's low profile and narrow heel cup do a good job maintaining stability. My single major CON is not enough padding under the forefoot.
