design compromise
"A few hours after I got this shoe, there was a strong thunderstorm coming in, and said to myself, what better way to test how waterproof the shoe is, and how it would fare in muddy trails in the park nearby. My eventual use for this shoe is to use them in Orienteering, an outdoor activity which involves alot of trail running and bushwacking in the woods. REALLY REALLY wanted to LOVE these. :-(

"What can I say? If youre passionate about trail running, this is the workhorse of the bunch! Absolutely excellent. "These shoes are very comfy. The strap system is very secure and provides nice, even tension. I fear the thin wire will break, but Salomon seems to have a great warranty program.
