"All my apprehensions about wool as a base layer as it relates to comfort were dispelled by this purchase. The long-sleeve crew just engulfs you in warmth without any of the expected scratchiness. "I wore this for a 7 day Portland trip which was met with weather that changed every hour. We had snow and sun with temps ranging from 30 to 57. The Smartwool did it's job to perfection! I was warm when it was cooler and comfy when warmer. AND no complaints from my fellow travelers about any odor …"  Read Full Review »

"By far the best base layer ever made... This product keeps me extremly warm and comfortable when sitting around the camp or while working on the trail. It is a bit pricey but well worth every penny I paid. I will replace when needed with the exact product. Soft, warm, with no itching at all. "

"Much better than Smartwool's light weight/ micro weight line for winter activities/ may be all of them. Also like the fit and feel better than the icebreaker line of wool clothing (not taking anything away from icebreaker).

I like this shirt better than any other that I own "
