"I have used similar products, by other companies, including Ibex, Surly wool cycling jerseys, and others. The Smartwool plain old baselayer -- they call it longsleeve middweight t-zip -- is the best for fluctuating temps. "The comfort of Merino wool can not be disputed, however Smartwool is now off of my list of manufacturers. My first purchases were socks in several styles.
