"I bought this TV at another retailer. Although plasma gives you the best picture, followed closely by LCD, this DLP surprised me. On regular cable channels it looks plain just like plasma and LCD. However, the HD channels are clean and crisp. I really can't tell the difference from this and my 32 LCD when it comes to HD and Blu Ray movies. All sports look amazing in HD on this set. This set has plenty of h..." Read Full Review »

"I got this tv as a replacement for my broken Hitachi 56" 720p. The screen is huge and it is light weight compaired to my older one. The screen is also pretty filmsy. Thats right, i could feel it slightly moving back and forth when we moved it in. And once I got it settled down I touched it and it pushes in with the slightest touch. Not good if you got a toddler around. Once I turned it on I was pretty disappoint..." Read Full Review »

However, the HD channels are clean and crisp. I really can't tell the difference from this and my 32 LCD when it comes to HD and Blu Ray movies. All sports look amazing in HD on this set. This set has plenty of hookup options, with 3 HDMI ports. HDMI is the best hookup to use for the best picture quality. Couple this set with a surround sound home theater and feel like you are at the movies. Xbox 360 and PS3 games look gorgeous as well (with an HDMI cable). The TV is also very lightweight at a little under 40lbs. for such a huge screen. Set only sticks out about less than a foot. The only downfall is that it is a DLP projector, which means it has a bulb which would need to be replaced. Spring for the extended warranty that covers the bulb. It is well worth it."

Mitsubishi 60" 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV - WD60735 Review
"If you're looking for entry quality high definition then this TV is great for you! If you don't know what entry quality means then you don't need to worry about it either, this TV is great for you!
TV is light for its size (65lb). The plastic build quality means you should be careful moving it but otherwise will hold up just fine. TV screen only has a thin border wrapping it so this TV feels like it was designed to be just one huge screen. Black is always my choice TV color (rather than my thick silver 50" Sony A10 borders) as I don't notice it and the picture stands out clearly.
Picture color accuracy is a bit of a miss on this TV. Brilliant mode offers curious interpretations of how to enhance color in any specific movie scene and often over exposes bright spots in movies. Not a deal breaker for entry level. Individual color adjustments lets you correct this if you choose but for most people, the default brilliant option will look just fine. One other warning is input lag is a tiny bit off. A previously connected Sony Bravia experiences no input lag and surround audio syncs with the screen perfectly. On this Mitsubishi I do notice that there is about a 10ms input lag and audio is slightly unsynced. To the untrained eye, nobody will notice.
Brightness is just fine during the day and spectacular at night. Black levels are adequate for a TV in this price range and I found no light leaks on the sides. No stuck or lazy pixels.
3 HDMI inputs to satisfy most setups. TV has you identify the connected source (cable/xbox/etc) to each specific HDMI and auto-calibrates the connection as well as marks it in the menu so when you switch inputs it says the name of the device (xbox/cable/etc) instead of just video 1, video 2, etc, which is very nice.
Speakers (as expected, 10w?) are noticeably mediocre. But you didn't expect to get a huge high definition TV and skimp on a surround sound did you? That's half the experience, so go get one and this only other blemish on this quality TV is erased. However, do note in the TV's setup you cannot disable the speaker. Odd, but mute or setting volume to 0 does the trick.
Remote is adequate and at least it came with Duracell batteries instead of cheapies. Layout is typical and the TV responds to it from good distance and angle. It is slim and lightweight, no heavy plastic here so don't drop it too many times. Illuminates red.
HD content looks sharp and vibrant for the price range. SD content looks obviously soft but what do you expect when you stretch a measily 720x486 over 60" of TV screen? Even with meager upconversion and average noise compensation, SD pictures are a tad soft. That's ok, SD won't be around much longer.
Connected it to a Sony HD Handycam and a Rebel Xsi and this TV displayed images and video easily over the USB input. All intuitive.
For the money, this TV is hard to beat. I grabbed it at $999 with free shipping and 18 months no interest. I'd do it again."

Mitsubishi 60" 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV - WD60735 Review
"I just picked up this TV during the Black Friday Sale. I purchased it through the website (only $999) and based my purchase off the reviews. I currently have 720p 50 Inch Plasma in my bedroom and I was looking for something bigger for the living room. I have owned Plasma and LCD TVs before but this is my first DLP set. After waiting about 2 weeks for the TV to come in I was first surprised by the weight. The TV weighs less than half of what my 50 inch plasma weighs. I live on the 11th floor of my building and it was easy to carry it with just my girlfriend and myself. The TV was easy to hook up and we were up and running in just a few minutes. I do have to say the way the menu is set up on this TV is a little odd. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to turn the volume on. Once that was taken care off we tried out the picture with a DVD. It took a few seconds to get the picture to full capacity. My other TVs when you turn them on you do not have to wait on the screen to get brighter. This is really the only negative that I found. We hooked it up to our cable and also through a Digital antenna. The picture quality is amazing. If is far better than my Plasma. However, although the picture is crisp and clear it is not as bright as an LCD or Plasma. Also if you look at sharp angles it is a little dark. I did expect this prior to purchasing. Overall I am amazed at the quality and the price is unreal. All the 60 inch plasmas I looked at where 3 times the price and the picture quality was not much better if any at all. I hope this helps other people looking at this TV."

"IF YOU WANT A DECENT TV WITH 60" ,AND YOU DON'T WANT TO SPEND $5000.00 THIS TV IS WONDERFUL. Granted this is not a "Close Up" TV. Give yourself at least six feet between you and the screen. For a Basement " Man Cave" this TV fits the bill. AV audio hookups are good and well positioned. So if you want HD at a great price I would definitely go with the MITSU DLP."
