"ok,. here is the deal i read all the reviews on this bike before i bought one for my son. when i was his age (8) mongoose was king "all pro end bikes" as i was very into bmx when i was a kid i had a $600.00 redline high end bike, this bike is not like my old redline but does [*] for the cash. if your son is going to indoor bike parks and ripping it up. you might want to spend a little more. as for a 8 year old ..." Rear Brakes have a design flaw
"My 11 yr old son bought this bike with money he received for his birthday. He chose this one because he liked the way it looked and he liked that it had metal pedals instead of plastic like the other Mongoose bikes he liked.
