"I would have given this tent 5 stars if it wasn't for two factors. The first being the Fly design, while it performed great the vestibules could have been devised a little better. Without at least 3 anchors per side it is hard to keep them fully "inflated" for lack of a better term. I had to use 3 a …"  Read Full Review »

Mountain Hardwear Trango 2

"I have only used this tent 1 time so far for a short backpacking trip but thought I would at least express my first thoughts... The conditions over the 3 day trip were Snowy, Windy and Sunny about 10 F-35 F. Although weight is typically the first concern about this tent for a lot of folks...it was …"  Read Full Review »

"This tent is a palace in the spring and fall... and a bombproof shelter in the winter. My tent shows just under 10 (9.8lbs) on our scale complete with most of the stakes (comes with 17!).

With two -20 long bags the tops and bottoms stretch door to door but still have about half a bag worth of …"  Read Full Review »

Mountain Hardwear Trango 2 Tent - 2 Person Review

mountain hardwear trango 2

"This is an awesome tent overall. My only 2 complaints are the distance from the fly to the ground is a little to much (I realize this is for ventilation but, the large top vent does the job just fine.) Also, the hooks instead of continuous sleeves are a little sketchy in high winds but, none the les …"  Read Full Review »

"I have had my Trango 2 for about five years now and it has never failed me. I've used it for backpacking in the summer, where it can withstand the toughest mountain thunderstorm and keep you dry. I've also used it for serious mountaineering and it excels in both capacities. The tent is very easy …"  Read Full Review »
