"I took this camera to Costa Rica with me recently and it took phenomenal photos of all kinds of plants and animals. It was great on the beach as well and could handle extremely humid conditions without losing picture quality. The close-up zoom worked great for flowers or even a bird in a far off tree. The sports setting was great for hummingbird shots. The vibration sensor handles quite well, but not as well..." Read Full Review

The vibration sensor handles quite well, but not as well when the camera is completely zoomed out. Overall though, it is a great camera for any kind of shooting. It is definitely worth every penny."
Pros:
"I am a sideline photographer for my kids' teams. The sports setting is amazing. The zoom is unbelievable. The adjustable lcd screen is handy for taking pictures down into the huddle. I haven't figured out all the settings yet, but so far, this is a camera that I will have for a very long time and hopefully grow in to. It's heavier than the others I compared, but that is the tradeoff for all the features and the super zoom, so it was worth it."

"My husband & I just love this camera! We have yet to get a bad picture! The 24xzoom is just wonderful! When I brought my camera to my local camera store, Everyone was in awe of the display screen, the zoom and just simply the AWESOME pictures it takes! I would recommend this camera/product to any and all my friends and family!"
Pros:
"I needed a compact to take with me along with my D80 on vacation this summer. When I began playing with this P90, I couldn't believe what it could do. Yes, it is a compact, but that zoom alone is enough to make it the BEST compact out there. Do you know what a 600 mm lens would cost for my D80? PLENTY!! But, I got the P90 for [$]! I am uploading a picture of a very red moon that I took WITHOUT a tripod. I had the zoom wound all the way out (yes, this is even with the usually terrible digital zoom) and rested the camera on my hand which was on a patio table. I am just blown away by this little camera. I think because of its light weight, that I will just take the P90 on vacation and leave my D80 at home."
Pros:
"This camera has been a wonderful back up for me. There is times I just don't want to carry a big DSLR around. I have taken many photo's with this camera and have entered many of these photo's in contest. I have gotten several Editor picks. I am a very proud owner of this Camera. It will do almost as much as my dslr. I have played with the settings and this camera does everything I need it to do....take wonderful pictures. There is no disappointments here."
Pros:
"Great all-purpose camera! Incredible 15-fps produces great pics - esp. for sports. Easy to use. Very solid feel. Rubberized grip areas very comfy. Excellent EIS. Excellent on-board editing/cropping/sizing capabilities. Nitpicks: full zoom needs tri-pod for optimum crispness; video is competent but HD has me spoiled; must remove lens cap before powering on. Nonetheless, the P90 is the best camera for my needs in this price range."
Pros:
Cons:
"I have both a film and digital Nikon SLR. My point and shoot digitals have always been Sony. I ventured into this advanced P&S based on decent writeups on reliable electronics review sites. What I never read, and was very disappointed to experience, was the way the telephoto mechanism worked in this model. What is described occurred on two different cameras - the first was replaced because Nikon Service and J&R thought this should not be happening. The issue; even closed the lens barrel rattled inside the camera body. When using the telephoto, the lens actually had a visible droop as it extended from the camera. Over the course of 4 days of fairly constant use (on vacation right out of the box), around 700 shots, the telephoto wheel stopped self centering - it seemed as though that mechanism just had a hard time overcoming the friction of the track of the barrel.
In addition, there are no lens threads allowing for a filter, and the camera does not come with a hood. The lens is really out front and vulnerable."
Pros:
Cons:
"This camera is a powerhouse.
Very user-friendly settings and instructions for non-technical users, i.e my girlfriend :) Don't see a need to upgrade to a D-SLR. Can't beat the price.
The shutter speed is a bit sluggish for action shots, but quality easily overcomes faults."
Pros:
Cons:
"Love the zoom and resolution. Great LCD. Save battery with view finder. Only used it less than a week. So far all's well."
