Copied by many but never duplicated, the VE 25 Expedition Tent from The North Face sets the standard for three-person expedition tents with its true bucket floor, dual doors and vestibules and internally zippered vents. With an extra sturdy DAC Featherlite SL aluminum pole system that doesn't add extra weight, you'll be set for all kinds of fast and light adventures in rough conditions.

  • Get a high strength-to-weight ratio with DAC Featherlite SL aluminum poles that slide easily through pole sleeves
  • Not a drop of water will get past the taped, nylon taffeta true bucket floor
  • Always get the ventilation you need with the internally adjustable zippered vents with mesh screens
  • Store gear within the dual vestibules and zip up the dual doors to keep the weather out, or leave them open for extra venting on those sunny winter mornings
  • Keep an eye on your surroundings through the 2 durable polyurethane windows that are cold-crack tested to -60 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Never fumble in the dark thanks to the reflective guyline loops, guylines, and glow-in-the-dark zipper pulls that make nighttime nature calls much less difficult

Great tent

"I have used this tent on a 5 day mountaineering trip in the Rockies and loved it. When you get this tent anchored down it's REALLY strong, and the foam blocks to keep the outerfly and inner tent from flapping is a really nice touch. We were in 40+mph gusts and you'd never know it. It's not the lightest tent in the world, but when you consider it's a total square feet it's not bad at all. Just compare it to a..." Read Full Review »

Consider Warrantry/Lifespan/Cost first!!

"REI carries GREAT products...with some exceptions.A The North Face (TNF) VE-25 tent is a spendy investment for a tent and it would appear reasonable to think you would get what you pay for. I own a 1990 VE-25 and loved the rugged (and fashionable) aspects of the tent. It was bomb-proof. I never worried about what I'd face camping in this tent. Who knew the real danger would come when I stored it away. After..." Read Full Review »

"We love our palacial VE-25 and use it everywhere - taking the kids to the beach, backpacking in the National Parks, winter camping/mountaineering in the cold and snow. It is spacious, bombproof, and watertight. Over the last five years I've discovered a drawback or two - it takes a little while to s …"  Read Full Review »

"I used this tent on a hunting trip into ANWR. (I am not a big hunter but I brought my SLR along to bag game in my own way). The trip was in mid september but the temp was already near 0º F. This tent was warm and while it collected some condensation, it is nothing compared to my own 4 season tent. …"  Read Full Review »

"TNF VE-25 is a great sturdy trusty tent. First trip out with VE-25 there was a thundering enormous storm, and unfortunately we set up camp right smack in the middle of a steep slope that drained all the rain water from the nearby vacinity directly towards our tent. By an act of God we had the rain …"  Read Full Review »

"I've had 2 ve-25's over the last 10years and I've put my tent through huge snow storms, downpours, and winds up to 60 mph. I've never had any problems with this tent, the only thing is, is if there is three big people in there it can become a little cramped and enough room for gear forget about it, y …"  Read Full Review »
