"I purchased this camera so I would have something small and light to have when it wasn't practical to bring my E3 along. I use it for casual snapshots, pictures on the golf course, family gatherings etc. It is just the right combination of features, size, usability for me. The overall quality of the camera is first rate, just what you'd expect from Olympus. The only minor quibble I have is that it doesn't have a viewfinder, but I knew that before I bought it so it's just something I need to get used to. The screen is very bright and easy to compose with and the controls are all easy to use. Overall, I am very happy I chose this camera and would definitely buy this model again."

"I just returned from 5 days kayaking in the Kenai Fjords of Alaska, and I used the Olympus 830 as my main water surface camera while taking pictures from my kayak. The camera held up quite well to the wet weather and I am quite satisfied with the quality of the pictures that I have downloaded so far, especially the ones at close range. On the downside, the LCD playback screen was somewhat tough to view while outdoors, but which ones aren't? It would be great to have an optical viewfinder but I think that's asking too much given the expense it would require. Overall, I believe I made a good choice."

"everything seems excellent so far!! picture is great as well as all the features works fabulous easy to use. absolutely great deal cant do better for the price! and the color of the camera itself is just as shown a wonderful ORANGE!! my fav color!! i havent been able to utilize all the features but it has all the options. frames for pics which are fun. it has it all."

"I shoot Nikon DSLr's but wanted a useful "pocket" camera to carry for all those times when the larger camera/lens combo might be left behind. This little water resistant unit has proved itself to be more than useful with an output that exceeded my expectations. I didn't even realize that it could record decent sound video as well so that was an added bonus."

"I like the feel of the camera, meaning your hands fit well when taking pictures. I like to video option because my last Stylus did not have this option. Still weather-proof which is great for the random weather in MN. Easy to use and play around with. Love the color options to choose. All in all good purchase and save money if you buy from B&H instead of a store that carries this product."
