"I purchased this product because it had a rebate. The cost was [$] and the rebate was the same...so I thought what harm could it do? if I didn't like it, oh well, I ended up getting it for free!! But, I did read the 4 different shampoos that Organix offered. The coconut is really good and coconut oil is supposed to be really good for you and is healing!..." Read Full Review

"I'm sad to do this, but I tried this shampoo today and really was so disappointed. The smell is great and all, but it made my hair feel like hay. I used the shampoo and it started the dry, hay feeling, but then the conditioner made it much worse. I was surprised by the reaction to the conditioner. After rinsing the conditioner out, I couldn't even slide a comb through my hair and ended up using some spray in..." Read Full Review
Pros:
"I was attracted to this product after reading about it in a magazine. I am also a stickler for anything coconut and thought I'd give it a whirl. I also like the fact that this is organic ingredient based and that it is sulfate free. Sulfate can leave really yucky weigh down junk on your hair and it has been linked to skin cancer as well, for those of you who don't know. Coconut is this product's main ingredient as the name implies and it is a wonderful natural moisturizing agent that really helps dry to very dry hair.
Coconut Milk Shampoo by Organix is also heavenly smelling, just like coconuts and it leaves a lovely, light scent that is not cloying. My hair is fairly wavy and I believe that this shampoo is good for overall smoothing as well, though it does not purport to be a straightening shampoo per se.
Two other ingredients that I like in this shampoo are the whipped egg whites and silk amino acids. Egg whites are very good for adding strength and elasticity to all types of hair. The coconut component seems to balance out well with the egg whites in terms of moisturizing seriously dry hair or even slightly dry hair. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best moisturizing shampoos I have ever tried and believe you me, there have been hundreds and hundreds.
I really enjoy using this and the scent is so delicious you want to eat the stuff, no, don't do that, but do use this if you need to infuse your hair with shine, suppleness, and silkiness. This stuff rocks!"
Pros:
"The main ingredient isn't the coconut, it's water. The coconut is actually the 14th and 16th ingredient....
Helpful review, though. I thought about buying the "wen" froo-froo stuff, but this seems to have a lot of the same stuff in it for much less. Worth a shot, right?"
What's hot? Apparently this review. Makes you wonder what everyone keeps talking about...

I know we all have different hair types, but just wanted to give the review that I didn't care at all for this particular shampoo/conditioner combo."

Cons:
"The worst shampoo and conditioner I have ever used. My hair felt like straw afterwards at the ends and greasy on the scalp. I'm not even going to bother using the rest, they are going straight to the garbage."

"Yeah I used the Coconut conditioner with the Green tea mint shampoo and the smells are so nice it makes you want to just buy them all.. but when I washed my hair it was very dry. I have a lot of hair and its pretty curly.. so I need a deep conditioner . Anyone who is looking for a great smelling hydrating shampoo and conditioner combo I highly recommend Doves hair protecting shampoo and conditioner. There shampoo is more hydrating then Organix's conditioner !"
"I totally agree! I tried the shampoo and I hated it. It made my hair feel the same way. I thought the conditioner would make up for it....BUT NO, just made it worse. I will never by this product again."
"I hope you weren't attacked by any hungry horses after using this shampoo! :-)"
"I read about this in a magazine and it sounded like it was made for me - ingredients with goodness, no sulphates, incredible scent, no animal testing, and eco-friendly packaging...ALL GOOD STUFF! When I used it for the first time I was really impressed with how amazing it is. Usually the stuff that's supposed to be good for you doesn't actually work that well - not the case with Organix. This is one luxurious shampoo that delivers on the promise! Organix is the real deal!"
Pros:
"As someone with naturally wavy, almost curly hair, I am always on the lookout for products to keep my hair smooth. With my hair being color treated (bleach and low-lights) I also look for products that will keep my hair soft, minimize breakage and not affect my color. The Organix product line exceeded my expectations. Because I am licensed, I normally only buy professional products. I tried this because it is NOT tested on animals and sadly most professional products ARE. I live in the South where it's quite humid...This kept the frizzies under control. I noticed I could run my fingers through my hair after shampooing and before applying the conditioner. Normally, I have to use conditioner to be able to do this. For what it's worth, my fiance noticed that my hair was smoother and said it smelled wonderful. Hours and hours later, he said my hair still smelled really nice. Most products don't linger this long, but I like when they do."
Pros:
"I bought some organic shampoo from Trader Joes, a local store that sells amazing products, thinking it would be great because of the smell and ingredients. After I showered and dryed my hair, I was shocked. It had completely damaged my hair. I usually have great hair but the Trader Joes stuff completely dried it out, made it appear greasy, didnt clean my hair, made it dull, and my hair was the farthest thing from soft&shiney. So right away, I went out to walgreens and bought Organix Coconut Shampoo and Organix Mint Conditioner. It restored my hair back. Now it is soft and shiney again and I couldn't be happier. I've used many professional products, like Bumble&Bumble, Bedhead, and Biolage. But this beats them all. They also smell amazing. I decided to be original and get two different scents; but the mint and coconut are actually a great combination."

"I am constantly seeing and reading about Organix in all of the magazines. So after reading one rave review after another I finally decided to give it a go. Well, I can honestly say I understand what all the buzz is about! Organix Coconut shampoo is a real treat! It starts with the scent the second you open the bottle. This shampoo smells simply amazing! Not only does it smell great out of the bottle, but I noticed that the wonderful smell stayed with my hair all day long! The formula is very thick and creamy and really did wonders for my hair without being harsh. I love that it is sulfate free and safe for my color treated hair. My hair is clean, healthy, moisturized, smooth, shiny and free of frizz. Organix is now my favorite shampoo!"
Pros:
"WOW - This product jumped out at me from the start. The bottle appealed to me so I opened.. smelled it .. and MMMMMMMMMMMM!!! This was DELICIOUS!
As I used it on my hair it smelled up the shower with the coconut scent and it was wonderful. Normally when I blow dry my hair afterwards my hair is puffy and frizzy - I must admit this product smoothed it down a bit and I STILL smell the coconut.
My hair always gets frizzy and dried out over the summer months, but this Organix shampoo makes my hair soft and smooth, as well as it helps with split ends. Plus it's the BEST smelling shampoo - EVER!!!"
Pros:
"A friend of mine has the most beautiful and amazing smelling hair. Although she didn't want to give up her secret, after several inquiries...she finally admitted to using Organix Coconut Milk shampoo and conditioner. I had seen Organix in the stores and read about it for awhile, but for whatever reason I never picked it up. Now I am a member of the Organix faithful, and can't imagine ever using anything else. Besides beautiful looking and smelling hair, you get the added benefit of using organic ingredients and a sulfate free formula (which I recently found out is important to your hair). I'm telling all of my friends about this great product. Highly recommend!"
Pros:
"I've always been a Pantene kind of gal, or maybe if I was trying something new, I'd reach for Herbal Essences. But one morning I saw Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo at my local Walgreens and was intrigued. Perhaps it was the cute oval shaped bottle, or how when I opened the cap I smelled the whiff of creamy coconuts. Whatever it was, I was hooked, so I marched up to the cashier and bought a non-Pantene shampoo product. The next morning, after a quick run, I tried out Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo and it really was worth all the rave reviews that I'd seen in various magazines. It has actual coconut milk for nourishment, whipped egg white protein for strength, and cococut oils for hydration. My hair, which is quite thick and unruly at times, felt silky and soft even without a marathon brushing session. In these times of tight budgets, women everywhere (myself included) need to find ways to treat themselves, even if it is with a [$] shampoo or conditioner. And let me tell you, I've switched from Pantene to Organix."
