Don't buy this sweeper - DISAPPOINTED

"I am not happy with the Panasonic MCUG471 vaccum at all. We had a Panasonic before and knew we wanted to buy another Panasonic sweeper. THIS sweeper is NOT EVEN IN THE SAME ballpark-even it does look just like the old one. The CORD is TOO SHORT, it is terribly noisy and it DOES NOT pick up dirt off of the tile floor. "I have a cleaning company. We have about 30 of these units. These vacuums work well. Usually they are still working fine after 3 years of daily use but need to be replaced for cosmetic reasons. It is not as quiet as it could be but it's not as loud as most vacuums. What I like most about this vacuum is it's not heavy and it's very easy to grab the wand to hit edges and corners. I do wish that it didn't require a bag. It does the work of vacuums that cost three times the price."

"This is my 3rd Panasonic vacuum cleaner. Bought because Consumer Report rated it highest (1st one). Suction is great. My son-in-law was even impressed. Bags are easy to get on & off & retractable cord is nice. Hose for attachments could be a little longer but not that bad. Best cleaner to get carpets really clean"

I'm very disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone for their home use.
It is just my husband and I, and I'm thankful we're not messy people.
I don't think other than being lightweight there is anything good about it. SORRY, it's the truth!!
