"I have used Penn Reels for all my life. I am 57 years young. I fish about 3 days of every week. Penn reels have lost all of their quality. "Just a workhorse of a reel for ocean fishing. Have caught grouper, black sea bass, white sea bass, yellowtail, and lots of smaller fish with this reel. Have used it for trolling, jigging, and deep bottom fishing and it performs like a champ. Easy to take apart for cleaning and maintenance."

"I've had this reel for over 6 years and it has not let me down. I use it strickly for live linning bunker targeting bluefish and stripped bass. I caught my biggest stripped bass on this reel. I highly recommend it.

"I use this product for trolling striper. This particular size reel is used for lead core line. Purchaed 3 more because of the great performance I experienced this last summer. Really did not run into one issue with the reel. I also recommend Gander MTM. Two different orders have been delivered very accurately and timely."

Penn Buster Sturgeon
"Hooked a sturgeon on an outgoing minus tide....it towed me and a friend uptide for about two miles....reel was brand new and was absolutely destroyed by the sturgeon....ball bearings were fused from the friction...Penn warranty replaced it at no cost to me....good warranty."
