Exact device for money...

by CihatTurkey on Mar 26, 2012

4.0

"Easy to use and mount to camera, fast charge and compatible with most auto mode, built in and quality diffuser for wide light. Battery cover is not useful and it's sense of expense is poor. Made in China, no rotation vertically and horizontally, but very accurate to use light sorce and amount of light. Not a stylish flash, a bit heavy cutting edge to exposure of deformation.Enough durability due to the static b..."  Read Full Review

I would rather have a tilt model

by Digital Artist on Feb 19, 2009

"I am a small private school yearbook teacher who has just had to take over photography training as well. I bought this because of the high reviews. I wish I had put the money toward a tilt/bounce model flash instead. For family type situations the flash is very harsh. There is not alternative adaptors to give greater flexibility with these kinds of straight on flashes. I have a lot more Photoshop adjusting to do..."  Read Full Review

Good flash for cheap

★★★★☆
4.0

"This isn't half bad, really. The flash does just fine indoors, and it is capable of fully lighting a room if used correctly. No bouncing off the ceiling, but the flip-down diffuser does soften the flash considerably. The flash actually does just fine for casual use. However, if you're serious about your camera work, opt for at least the 360, if not the 500."

It truly can light a room.

A perfect Auto flash for every ocassion

★★★★★
5.0

"The product has given me a fame close to that of the pros. My friends and colleagues at work now want me to be present at their parties to take their pictures. I used it at a sporting event of one of my friend kid and the production was awesome. I will recommend this product to anyone that's in love with photography like me. I dont get paid for it but people do offer to pay for my services without minding the cost despite not being a pro."

FAIR PRICE, EFFECTIVE FOR SHORT DISTANCE

★★★★☆
4.0

"If you want a flash unit:

... to avoid red-eye, buy it.

... to simply point and shoot, without complicated light measuring, buy it. But if you like complicated things, buy it (it can be used on manual mode).

... to take pictures of family, pets, gardens etc, buy it.

... to have it allways in a (small and lightweight) bag, buy it.

... to do everything i mentioned before and take some control on power of flash, buy it.

If you want a flash unit:

...with a tilt & swivel bounce head, forget it.

...for large distance coverage, forget it.

...for a pro performance, forget it.

If you, like me, want to have a flash unit to take better pictures on kids' parties or on vacation, you can't go wrong with AF200FG P-TTL. P-TTL mode works great to deliver the correct light on each picture.

Solid build, there's no cheap plastics.

Fast recycling with 4x 2900 MAh Pearstone AA batteries (please note that such batteries were all rated as 2200-2300 Mah by new MAha M-9000 charger/analyzer)."

    Pros:

  • Consistent output,
  • Easy to use,
  • Fast recycling,
  • Good power output,
  • Lightweight
