"I used to use those soaps that mostly smelled like chemicals or contained mysteriously unpronouncable ingredients.

Ever since switching to Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Liquid Soap, I've been introduced to a brand new shower experience.

I personally enjoy the invigorating sensation provided by the natural peppermint oils, but I can see why some people might be overwhelmed by both the scent and the sensation it provides.

Definitely have to be careful while using it, you do not want to get peppermint oil in your eyes or any other sensitive areas.

Additionally, I appreciate the use of organic oils and certified fair trade ingredients.

On a more quirky note, the label of the bottle is a hoot to read.

It claims to have over 18 in 1 uses, but after trying it as a substitute for toothpaste as suggested, I decided not to explode the other uses. Yuck!

While it may not be as versatile as the label claims, Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Liquid Soap does a wonderful job at being used as a soap."

"Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap, "GREAT" stuff! The wording on the bottle said you could pretty-much use it for almost anything and as the bottle said, I tried it on my "dentures", yes, you've got it, afterwards, I had a "minty" flavor in my mouth (I didn't mean to gross anyone out talking about my choppers)! The scent inside the shower made me think about all the times out on the trail creek and "spit" water baths without a "great" scent afterwards, it almost made me want to brush my "choppers" again (but I wouldn't want to waste any soap for the next time)! About Moosejaw? Their customer service is, bar none the "greatest" of all, all the other outdoor shops combined, wouldn't come close to what you'll find at MooseJaw! I get their updates in my mailbox all the time and I get a good belly laugh every time I open them up. The folks at Moosejaw are a bunch of "Gear Heads" from way back! Try them out and you'll learn to "Love The Madness" like I have."

"Wow, is this stuff awesome!!! Buy the Peppermint and you won't be disappointed. I tried using it as toothpaste . . . I kinda felt like Ralphie from Christmas Story after getting the bar of Lava Soap in his mouth; I'd recommend packing some toothpaste instead of relying on this as a "total solution" product. I use it everyday and enjoy the refreshing, tingling sensation from the Peppermint (or is it the secret ingredient Benzene? - just kidding!!!) It's nice only having to carry a bottle of Dr Bronner's Peppermint soap, a synthetic loofah and a large MSR Packtowl Original to the shower. I wish Moosejaw would sell the gallon-size container for us newly-converted Dr. Bronner fanatics. If you're looking for an alternative means of packing light or you're just looking to try something new (i.e. time to retire your Brut Soap-on-a-rope), give this a try - you won't be disappointed!"

"This is the ishti. I got some from Moosejaw, on the reccomendation of a dude working there, because he said that I could brush my teeth with it. I was thinking of buying this soap a few months before, but I thought what the heck would I do with all of this soap. I have used it to bathe, shave, wash my clothing, and to brush my teeth. It has really outperformed any expectations that I could have had. I am still in awe that the same product I have brushed my teeth, can make my clothes smell minty fresh. Try washing your clothes with colgate, or brushing your teeth with tide, I don't think so. I even looked up the company online, and they have a lot of interseting stuff to say, Dr Bronner was an interesting guy as well. And this stuff is great for human beings as well as the envirnoment. What else do you need to know!!!"

"To be honest folks, the wife and I must agree to disagree on this one, I think that it's a very quality product for the price, but she didn't care for it. We both loved that it has multiple purposes, I thought it was a great product for washing anything, including my own large self. I thought it lathers up quite well, and it's very compact for the packing. The Mrs. liked it's ability to wash clothes, but she didn't care for it's ability to make her hair feel clean, and it is so thin that it sometimes tends to head for the drain before you get the chance to get a good lather. So, like I said we have to agree to disagree on this one!"

"I have to give props to the Doctor, the soap does work great and goes a long way. You can use this stuff on everything. I did however find that it wasn't that great for your hair or getting that "squeaky" clean feeling you do at home. I guess that's better than nothing though when out on the trail. It works great on laundry, not so tough on mud stains but it definitely gets the stink out. It also makes you feel a little bit more at ease being that it's biodegradable. I've only tried the lavender (I think the bears might enjoy peppermint coated meat candy) and the smell is not to strong. Great product!"

"I just got this product so I wouldn't have to carry a bunch of different things (shampoo, soap, dish liquid, etc) on my backpacking trip down the grand canyon. I tried it out at home and I like it a lot! though, the peppermint smell wasn't the typical sweet pepperminty smell I'm used to in products, it was still a nice scent. I used it to wash my hands and it left them feeling fresh and clean, so I imagine it would make the rest of my body feel the same! It's biodegradable, which is great since the grand canyon peeps ask that you don't wash yourself in anything but!"
