"I'm not an audiophile, so I can't really speak to the sound quality. Just comparing it to the Sennheiser MX400 I was using before, it seems less heavy on the bass- and mid-ranges, more heavy on the treble-range, but at the same time, manages to achieve a more "open/concert hall" quality.
