"Design, light weight, good grip, impact resistance, large capacity - all these are great. However the insulation barely exists ,ice melts very quickly and whats worse-water not only gets warm fast but also tastes like plastic. I kept it overnight filled with water and some lemon juice and it helped for a day. But now is back to this chemical aftertaste. Perhaps for short bike rides and such it would be OK to depend ..." Pros:
"I use these bottles at home, at work, and at the gym. I work in a hot kitchen, and when I add ice cubes to the liquid in the bottle, they last a long time. My coworkers have requested the bottles, and I have bought extras for them.
The sports bottle top has excellent flow, much better than most."
Pros:
Cons:
"I've used Polar bottles for years, have spent double the $$ in sport specialty shops. Almost didn't make the purchase because STP description did not mention BPA-free, but it actually is. Add lots of ice, liquid of choice and everything stays cold/cool for many hours in the midday heat."
Pros:
"I bought 4 of these to rotate throughout the day between home, office and motorcycle. I freeze 1 to place in an insulated soft side cooler and keep my other stuff cold.
Strap handle is easy to grab, lid doesn't leak and never cross threads. So far, no odors or stains from tea or soda. YMMV.
It does sweat a bit, so place a micro-fibre towell around it if you don't want your stuff getting wet!"
Pros:
Cons:
"I've been using these bottles everyday for years. They're super easy to carry - I just hang them from my Leather Man holster on my belt. They're tough, easy to keep clean, and actual keep the water cool for hours. I've even used them in the high desert of CA, in some of the worst heat imaginable (over 120 deg F) and they would still keep the water cool for a hour or so when full."
Pros:
"I owned both polar and the camelbak insulated bottles. The polar is my go to bottle. No plastic taste, keeps water cold, dishwasher safe, polar also will replace the tops free if they get damaged."
Pros:
"I recently took this bottle, filled with WARM water, x-c skiing. It was around 0°F and colder all day. My regular bottle quickly turned to slush while this one stayed liquid for several hours. It was great to drink water that was not ice cold in cold weather. I will use it the rest of the winter and may even try it for cold water while cycling in the summer heat. A well made and versatile bottle."
"This bottle is identical (except for the color and decoration) to the one I purchased at another store but half the price! Awesome product."
Pros:
"Bought this to replace one exactly like it that my daughter broke. She can break anything so durability is not the issue. Liked the first one well enough to buy another"
Pros:
"I've had a few of these water bottles and use them for biking and everyday drinking. After a while they do start to degrade and get scratched up a bit, and can start to absorb smells and tastes, which isn't pleasant. Fairly good bottles overall though, they do a good job of maintaining temperature without the weight of a double-walled stainless container and the squeezability is good too. The wide mouth opening also makes it easy to put in ice cubes as well."
Pros:
Cons:
