"I have been leak detecting and plumbing for 30 years. A high end furniture company in High Point N.C. called me after hiring multiple roofing companies to fix the leaks dripping on their very expensive furniture.
I normally use ultrasound and other methods but this situation was especially difficult.
I had to prove exactly what was the source's of the leaks were because of the old style downtown building's are adjoined togethter with different owner's so I had to prove without a dought where the leaks were so the correct person could pay for the repair's.
I have used tracing dyes for yeaars in the plumbing field but it had occured to me to try this dye on a roof leak.
As I would see places on the roof that I thought may be the source I would then squirt some pink dye in the void's. Without a whole lot of details, the dye would leave no room for error because the buckets catching the water below turned pink thus proving where the leaks had originated. Thanks Jeff Shambley
