"I read that attaching this filter to the flash gives warm light, something like candle light.
I was surprise to see that it is so cheap, so I bought one.
It was a great surprise to me. It is a sheet of this gel. You need to cut a piece in the size of your flash and attach it to your flash. I used a standard tape to attach it. It work great and the result is amazing!
I am going to buy more filters in more colors to match different atmospheres. But if you want a candle light atmosphere - this is your filter!"

"This gel met my expectations by warming up my subjects just a little bit but not too much. I use this on my on camera and off camera flash outdoors so I do not receive white out images of people. Nice alternative to using a gold reflector when its windy, like at the beach. Cut a few inches around your flash and use a rubber band to secure and it works great.
I haven't had any negative issues with it since its only been a few weeks of use.
I use it on a Metz 54MZ3 flash. Typically slide film using a Leica camera body."

"These are used with various strobes. Similar to full CTO gels hey take 5500K light and partially match it to tungsten. Useful for indoor work were your ambient will mix in, or making Daylight in the background turn really blue, but you don't need the full CTO effect!!"
