"Over the years, we have owned and used several different iron brands, including the Rowenta Pro, which was a total disaster. This iron seems to know when to steam. Wrinkles disappear instantly. It is very easy to fill, and equally as easy to use. I would highly recommend.Note: This reviewer may have received a benefit, like a sweepstakes entry or rewards program points, in exchange for writing this review. The b..." Read Full Review

"I have purchased two of these irons. I am a seamstress and so my iron is always set up and in use several hours of each day. This iron worked well for me but just after the 1 year warranty was up on the first one water started leaking through the handle. Rowenta was "puzzled" but offered no help. I bought iron #2 just over a year ago and YEP it's leaking through the handle again. If I do not fill the water level..." Read Full Review
"I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS ITEMS FOR MY LARGE FAMILY. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD FIND AN IRON THAT WOULD LIVE UP TO ITS FEATURES. I KID YOU NOT THIS IS THE BEST THING ON THE MARKET . THE STEAM IS ON A PROFESSIONAL CLEANERS LEVEL. MY IRONING TIME IS NOW LESS. IT WAS A GREAT INVESTMENT AND THE WARRANTY IS ALSO GREAT .
I LOVE IT."
"I hate housework & especially ironing. i love this iron, though. it heats up quick and the temp controls are really accurate. my garments look very nice after using it too. i still hate doing laundry, but at least this iron makes it a bit more tolerable."
Pros:
"My old iron stoped working after about 2 years but honsetly I barely ironed so it may have had over all 6 months of use. The last time I used it we were late for a wedding and my husbands new shirt needed to have to fold creases ironed out, well after soaking the arm with the leaking iron and having to blow dry his shirt I knew that I needed to invest in a real iron so I started reading all the reviews I could find on rowenta's since I knew they were considered high quality irons.
The pros are: heats up quickly, easy to understand indicator lights if the iron is too hot or the steam is not ready, quickly adjust heat if plate is to hot and steam function recovers quickly as well. The tip point is great for fitting in all the little nooks you find when ironing pleats and buttons, easy to fill, glides well on all fabrics I have tried, get most wrinkles out in one pass.
The Cons are: a little on the heavy side, I paralized my right arm for a while so even though I am right handed, it is my weaker side, althought ironing with this iron should help me regain my strenght and it glides so easy that the heavyness isn't much an issue (I was just looking for a con)
In many reiviews I read on this site and others I read about defective auto shut offs and leaking issues, I decided to take those reviews with a grain of salt and take the risk. From the looks of the reviews they were all about the same time and my guess is there was a defective batch that got out becuase my iron has been nothing but wonderful and I iron more now than I ever did in the past, I love going to work neat and pressed instead of frumpy and wrinked because my old iron would shut off and soak my clothes while I was ironing.
Over all this iron is worth the investment becuase an Iron is an invetment in your personal apperance and you should always put your best you forward and why not a neatly pressed you!"
"At first glance, this iron was very pleasing to the eye. The polished plate was most attractive with the dozens of steam holes adding to the overall look. The rest of the iron was nice and neutral.
I initially thought that the pointed end of the plate looked a bit odd, but after having used the iron and realizing how it allows me to get into every little nook and crannie of my garments - I LOVE it! I can even iron my 2 year old daughter's pleated dresses etc with absolute ease and speed.
The iron is much heavier than the $30 models I have used in the past. In fact it weighs 3lb 12 oz when full of water. However, I lowered my ironing board and the weight is really not a problem for me, even with R.S.I. I suspect that maybe the better irons are just heavier because of their features and quality?
My brain is slowly coming to the understanding that 1 stroke of the iron really is enough with this iron. The speed you can get through your ironing is phenomenal. Also the quality of the ironing is just so much better than I have ever experienced, I am very pleased.
Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase and thanks Macy's for having it on sale as well!!!!"
"This Iron is fantastic. It heats up quickly and is a dream come true. With the amount of steam that is blasted out of all the small holes it seems to glide over the cloth. My husband and I have a wardobe that consists of 100% cotton or Linen. I refuse to pay the high prices for dry cleaning as I did in the 70's and 80's. When I was a young girl, late 50's and 60's, I stood at the iron for what seemed to be hours as my mother and father worked and ironed everything from sheets and pillow cases to skirts and shirts for a family of 7. I lost the art until now. I get a great deal of satisfaction after only minutes of ironing a heavy cotton shirt for my husband that looks like new. I love looking crisp and fresh when we step out of the house. I work 40+ hours as week and drive 85 miles one way each day to work so it's not like I have time on my hands and that's the beauty of this iron it's FAST. This iron uses alot of water but NOT DISTILLED and that's ok by me as the steam is wonderful and the secret to the success of this Iron. ThankyouThankyouThankyou for making a wonderful product. I've been telling everyone."
"I use the Rowenta Focus iron for shirts trousers, and jackets.
It gives even heat plenty of steam and good weight. those 400 steam vents do a job on fabrics.
Nothing bad after a weeks ownership and plenty of trials. Follow book instructions to avoid trouble."
Pros:
"I purchased this specific iron to assist me with my quilting projects and household ironing. I always have a project going and I love to iron. This iron is very nice and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to iron."
Pros:
"This has been a great buy to iron my office shirts every weekend. Makes it a hassle free experience even with cotton shirts and those that wrinkle frequently."

I bought iron #2 just over a year ago and YEP it's leaking through the handle again. If I do not fill the water level pass the half way mark then I have no problems. Sorry but I won't be buying another of this model but will still buy Rowenta!"
