Review Summary The buzz is that this canister vacuum can't be beat for its combination of cleaning power and lightweight storability. Reviewers report that it works especially well on tile and hardwood floors and is great for cleaning stairs. Its telescoping wand makes it easy to store in tight spaces, while the automatic cord rewind saves time. Complaints? The plastic hose can twist easily and can also tear if you're not careful. Our users also say it's probably not the best choice for homes with a lot of carpet. Overall, however, they wax enthusiastic about this popular vacuum cleaner, which they say is versatile, powerful, and ideal for small spaces.

Royal RY1000 Airpro Compact Canister Vacuum Review
"This thing is beyond terrible if you ever intend to use it on a carpet or
rug. Though perfectly fine for bare floors, the main attachment has no
rollers on it, so when the brush bristles are extended to vacuum
anything other than a bare floor, you're basically giving your rug an
unhealthy scrape. And unless you're vacuuming a carpet that's tacked to
the floor, even the lowest suction setting will grab the rug, which
means that you can really only move in a single direction if you don't
want that area rug moved to an entirely new location. And then there's
the fact that using this sucker requires more back-wrenching elbow
grease than any chore should ever require in this day and age. Please
don't waste your money on this raging disappointment. It's a
chiropractor's dream and will leave you needing anger management
classes. My hand-held Dust Buster does a better job. At least it has a
rotating brush....."
Royal RY1000 Airpro Compact Canister Vacuum Review
"So far this vacuum works great for my small house with hardwood floors. I love the ease of use- it wheels around easily and is small. The cord rewind is great as well- no wasting time wrapping up a cord. I also love the attachments directly on the hose. It's much easier to switch out different heads and the top of the hose is angled so it is very easy to clean the tops of dressers and windowsills, etc. When I was shopping, I was interested in the Simplicity Jack which has similar features to this one, but the Royal is much cheaper, so it's great for me who's on a budget. The carpet is attachment does the job of cleaning external debris on your carpet, but obviously won't do a deep cleaning. But since I only have one room with carpet, I can't complain. Great price and I love the sleek look!"

"Living in a small apartment, I really thought this vacuum would fit nicely in the closet & it does. The vacuum sux, (which you want in a vacuum cleaner) it is powerful for such a small machine. The fact that you can carry it around is a neat thing too. It's a little awkward at first, but if you can get around the cord and keep the hose untangled youre ok.what I don't like is that the onboard attachments don't attach too well. I thought it was a cheap set up. the tools attach around the hose, which is difficult to manipulate when youre trying to rush through your cleaning.I recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a lot of space, but can handle a bit of reorganizing the equipment. A good value too. most canisters were much more expensive."

"got it yesterday.i was nervous cause i have a wind tunnel and they r superior. This vacum is smaller in size and even has a strap to carry.very powerful-grabs the floor.sucked up pennies,it's impressive. The xtension wand is inside the other wand for those who didn't figure that out!! so do not worry what size u are! very lite but sturdy, made well.strong suction relax ,its worth the money. Of course i only have it one day but royal is a good company it should stand on its reputation!!"
Royal RY1000 Airpro Compact Canister Vacuum Review
"I wanted a vac that would do bare floors. I did not want to pay for a 'carpet beater head'. It had to have an autocord wind up which is hard to find unless you pay for lots of extras. This simple machine fit the bill perfectly.
Yes the plastic hose gets twisted sometimes, but the telescoping wand (for storage) makes up for it. It can fit in the bottom of the coat closet and not interfere with the coats.
Overall good buy, does a good job."
