Royal RY2000 Airpro Compact Canister Vacuum

"This did not come in the color advertised. It was a maroon (not nearly as attractive as pictured). I guess I was disappointed, but not enough to send it back. Did not realize that they could give you another color. Works well."

"The shipment was left at my door while I was at work, it was so poorly packed that the tubes were sticking out of the box. It didn't appear broken so I opened it and found a cheap, toylike vaccum. I had a *** before that was built solid and lasted for many years. It does have good suction but the wheel fell off the first time I used it and keeps falling off everytime I try to use it; it is quite annoying. The control of suction intensity is an interesting option but unfortunately situated on top where everytime the hose touches it, it changes the setting (too sensitive and bad positioning). Overall I regret this purchase and would not reccomend it to anyone. I wish I had kept my old vacuum! Also it did not look like the picture posted so I did not get what I expected. (My kids had destroyed the box so I could not return it otherwise I would not have kept it.)"

"I had no luck finding a cannister vac locally to replace the Dirt Devil that finally died aftter many years of service. Luckily, I found the Royal Airpro, and it has almost everything I was looking for. I would prefer if it was bagless and had a lifetime Hepa filter, but that seems impossible to find in a cannister in my price range. I have mostly hardwood floors and a couple of very low pile rugs, and I find that the suction is great on both. I also like that the suction is adjustable. The retractable cord is great, and is longer than the one I had so I can do 2 rooms without changing plugs. On the con side, I find that the hose tends to kink sometimes when you make turns, but I can live with that. Overall, I'm very happy with it, and would recommend it to anyone."

"This lightweight vacuum is really cute! Mine came in purple (the colors seem to be random), but it's not like I plan to leave it out, so the color doesn't matter much to me. It's the function that's important.



It's very compact, which is good as I don't have a lot of closet space. Right now, it's stored in the same amount of floor space as two pairs of shoes.



The shoulder strap is really too thin to use to cart it around, even if it is lightweight.



It has a dial to regulate the strength, from low to high. Low's for things like curtains and high is for stuff that really needs picking up. I set it in the middle and it worked really well on cat hair, styrofoam shards and other assorted bits on the carpet.



I'd definitely recommend it to friends!"

"I should have listened when another reviewer mentioned that it's impossible to buy a replacement bag for this vacuum locally. I live in a fairly large area and haven't been able to locate one anywhere, so next will try sending away to the manufacturer. The bag that it does contain is very small. One extra bag is included.



Other than that, this vacuum was what I was looking for, which was something for very small jobs that could be stored in a small place and easily accessed without packing around our heavy central vac hose or our large heavy-duty Dyson vac. If I could buy bags for this vacuum I would be fairly pleased. If you don't mind sending away for the bags, then I'd say go ahead and take a chance on this. Otherwise, look elsewhere."

"I'm not very knowledgeable in vacuum cleaners, but this one does what I need. I've had this vacuum for about 3 months now and use it a couple of times a week without any problems. I use it on a 800 square foot, two bedroom apartment with wood floors and area rugs...perhaps it's a bit small for a large house. It's small size also makes it easy to take downstairs to the car for cleaning. Construction seems good.

Could I improve it? Yes. I would beef up the shoulder strap (I like how easy it is to install and remove, but it is thin and uncomfortable). Make the cord a bit longer. And, a better head unit (better wheels and adjustment). Color could be better (my was a burgundy color)"

"This is a terrific little lightweight vacuum. I have a Roomba, but needed something for quick pick-ups, stairs, window sills, sofas and kids rooms with too much junk in them to run the Roomba. I can whip this out quickly as it is very light and it does a great job on the stairs and tile in the bathrooms. There are 2 different "suckage" adjustments to allow you to vacuum floor rugs or curtains. A couple of things to be aware of: 1.)There is no "beater" brush, just a carpet brush, so there is no agitation 2.)The hose seems a bit flimsy. Very happy with this little, lightweight vacuum."

"I definately recommend this vacuum. It's one of best that I've come across. My old one is about to go after many years of abuse and I've been looking for another one to replace it. I've tried all the canister vacuums at the local stores and was not happy with either the price or performance. This one seem very durable and has a powerful suction. It took about a week to get it but well worth the wait. Can't go wrong with the price. Mine came in a burgundy color. My sister tested it and got hooked. She ended up getting one for heself."

"I recently moved to a little house with wall to wall tile and with three dogs, vacuuming is a daily chore, sometimes twice a day. I didn't want the standard vacuum because the exhaust tends to blow the fur outward before it can be suctioned over tile. This canister vacuum has been easy to work with and highly effective, and is holding up to daily wear and tear. I will never buy another bagless vacuum, the bags are worth the minor trouble and are a great preventative to clogged up or burned out motors with pet hair and dandruff."

"I have been looking for a vacuum to use on my tile floors and nothing has seemed to get all of the dirt. My mom has this same model and has used it for years. She bought one for me and I have been very impressed with the suction and ability to get every last piece of dust and dirt off of the floor. It is easy to use as it follows you when you vacuum and has the retractable cord when you are done. The other great feature of this vacuum is the compact design. Great for any home- from 500 to 5000 square feet!"
