"This piece is very attractive and functional. We purchased it as a temporary piece until we could find something more suitable for our living room, but it fits the space and our decor so well, we will probably end up keeping it there. "Easy to assemble. It looks like wood but it is not. Wondering why you choose to use particle board, Cost? What will happen when a liquid is spilled on it? What is the life expectancy of this piece of furniture? Last year our grandchildren damaged the top of our solid pine chest in our bedroom. We had to strip/sand and refinish the item. "Beautiful cherry finish, but take care not to scratch it during assembly. Storage cabinets are nice, but I had to shim one of the magnetic closures so it would hold the door closed.
