Great Product

★★★★★
5.0

"This TV has a great picture and a very attractive design. It's perfect for an office or room where a big unit would not fit. It is loaded with all the ports you will need and has both a QAM and ATSC tuner so you can get digital broadcasts over the air or from the cable company. The only feature that it does not have is cable card capability. So if you want to watch premium stations (HBO) that are scrambled and not use an external box, it is not for you. Of course with the cable company box it can receive any channel using either the component or HDMI ports. Most functional small (<26") TV I have seen."

    Pros:

  • Attractive,
  • Easy to setup,
  • Good connections,
  • Great picture quality,
  • Great resolution

"For a non-teck person, the idea of setting up a new HDTV produced some anxiety. I should not have worried. The instructions were clear, the connections themselves well marked, and very few steps needed to get the set operating. The power cord connection on the back of the set could have had a bit easier access but that was a minor inconvenience."

    Pros:

  • Attractive,
  • Easy to setup,
  • Good connections,
  • Great picture quality,
  • Great resolution

Ever Wonder What It Takes To Make These Things?
The Sharp Liquid Crystal Television plant in Kameyama, Japan, represents the ultimate example of economic efficiency, social mindedness, and environmental conservation. Combining Sharp's vast experience and knowledge in R & D and mass production, including 50 years of TV and 30 years of LCD production, the Sharp Kameyama plant is a world-class facility for the manufacture and assembly of LCD panels. Continuing its leadership, Sharp opened a second plant at Kameyama in October, 2006. This is the world's first facility to adopt 8th generation glass substrates, which are roughly twice as large as the substrates used in the number one plant. Plant number two is specially designed for the production of glass for LC-TV screen sizes in the 40-inch through 50-inch range and will provide a steady supply of medium to large panels to respond to the growing worldwide demand for digital and high definition compatible flat panel televisions.
