A Solid Performer!

"You really can't beat the Schimano M520 SPD's. They are economical, durable, convenient, and most of all reliable. Sure there are better clipless options, but for the price you really can't beat the M520's. I have about four different pairs that I use for all my different bikes. I have them on my road and Mountain Bikes. I like the convenience of having all my bikes on one reliable system. If your not a competit..." Read Full Review »

Good beginner pedals

"Although not the lightest pedals, they are lighter than the stock platforms my bike came with. Clipping in and out worked as expected(no problems).I never "unclipped" by accident and I always felt secure in these pedals. They worked great until the right pedal body separated from the pedal spindle 9 miles from home!(Only three months old and about 250 miles).I never heard of this kind of failure so I guess it wa..." "I'm hooked on these pedals (literally). They're easy to clip in and clip out of once you've made the proper adjustments. Yeah, they're a little weighty, but these pedals are durable and will take a butt whuppin'. Sure they may not be the most cutting edge or sexy set of pedals on the market, but …"  Read Full Review »

"These are my first set of clipless pedals and I've fitted them on my hybrid-commuter, which I use as my primary source of transportation in the city I live in. After the initial training on how to to use a clipless pedal system, (Which lasted all of half an hour. They aren't that hard to learn how …"  Read Full Review »

"These are the cheapest Shimano SPD dual-sided pedals you can get and thus they are a little heavier than the one up, the M540. The 520 is the same as the 540 except the latter has replaceable bearings.

I bought a pair of these for my fixie commuter road bike and have been quite impressed. They' …"  Read Full Review »

"This is a great pedal for general use. It is dual sided for easy entry/exit. The clips don't give loose while pedaling, but are easy to click out. I put them on my cyclocross and use them for commuting, trail riding and general riding. They have over 2000 miles on them this season and have worke …"  Read Full Review »
