"I'll use this little baby on my frequent overnight/multi-day backpacking trips. A perfect addition to my minimalist gear. Love it, and the small inconvenience of needing a match or lighter is offset by the size/weight of this incredibly compact little burner. Well made and looks to last a long time. Campsaver had the best price and the order shipped in a matter of days...." Read Full Review

"We just used this stove on a ski trip up Rock Creek to climb Bear Creek Spire(May 20-23). The first night at 10,700 ft., on flat snow(stability is a big issue), and in no wind, it performed well. The second night at 12,500 ft., at 25 degrees F and in wind, it did not want to melt snow(even using MSR's heat exchanger) so we had to use it in the tent. On a somewhat rough snow floor, you felt you had to hold on ..." Read Full Review

"The Snow Peak LiteMax stove is the best bang for the buck. When compared to any other backpacking stove it is by far the lightest and most compact. It's super powerful and easy to use. I can boil water quicker on this stove then I can on my stove top at home. I haven't used this much in a high wind scenario and it hasn't been at very high elevations yet, but so far it performs like a champ. Bottom line: This is a must have for ANY backpacker or camper!"
Pros:
"I also have the MSR Whisperlite and the MSR Pocket rocket stove. This stove is my favorite. I mostly use my Whisperlite when car camping because of its weight and size. For the past 3 years my Pocket Rocket has been my stove of choice.
This stove is liter than the Pocket Rocket, more compact, about 4000 BTU's hotter and simmers better than both the Whisperlite and the P-Rocket.
The flame is nice and broad especialy when compared to the P-Rocket.
Awesome choice where size and weight matter (and when is it really bad to have something small and lite?).
The con would be its stability. But thats true with pretty much any Butane stove since the fuel canister is your base. This stove is more stable, though, than the P-Rocket. By the way I do love the Pocket Rocket. I just love this stove more."

"Before finally settling on a cookset/stove setup (for one-two people), I purchased & field tested the following stoves: (01) Jetboil Zip, (02) MSR Pocket Rocket, (03) Snow Peak Giga Power & (04) Snow Peak LiteMax. And w/ out a doubt, the SP LiteMax clearly out performed the rest when paired w/ a GSI Minimalist cookset. I chose this stove over the other three for several reason's. One is was the 2nd most fuel efficient stove (46M burntime off of 100grams of fuel). The only stove that came even close was the Jetboil, but their listed burntime of 60Ms was manufacturer specs only, vs. REI tested. Two it puts out the most heat (11,200BTU's). And three it is the lightest/smallest of them all (including stove height when mounted on a fuel canister). I'm sure there were many other reason's in choosing this stove, but the above three were the main deciding factors. And to top it all off, it fits perfectly inside the GSI Minimalist cookset, and it is suprisingly built like a rock!"
Pros:
"This is the smallest and hottest little stove I have. I also have a optimus nova, but the lite max is just so easy to put in your pocket and take with you. I bring it out ice fishing and boil up a pot of coffee and it works good on colds windy lakes, but I try my best to shelter it from the wind. The canisters are very easy to attach, I don't feel like I'm going to break it when I have to take the canister off. It's just so easy to operate, I highly recommend this to anyone not just a friend."

Cons:
"I recently got this for my birthday and it is amazing. I also own the MSR Pocket Rocket, and this stove blows it out of the water. It is lighter, packs smaller, and puts out more heat than the PR. I haven't used it enough to determine how well it does in high wind or cold weather, but no canister stoves are great in these conditions. I would recommend this stove to anyone and everyone that is looking for an ultra-light stove. Simply the best!!"

If a picture is worth a thousand words... How long is this review?
"Great stove that boils water super fast. I have yet to find a con to this stove."
Pros:
"This is my first lightweight backpacking stove that I sprung for after figuring a backcountry weekend in January really needed some hot coffee in the morning. I had no previous experience with this type of stove but I'm pretty happy with it. If you haven't used one of these before, it's not clear what kind of fuel bottle is required -- I found them at my local outfitter; the bottles are 4 oz isobutane and cost about five dollars each.
The stove is easy to unpack and assemble, although the regulator handle is wire/steel and looks like it must be handled delicately. The body of the stove is milled aluminum and the cooking supports are titanium. It is a very well-engineered device. It's easy to light with just a spark from a lighter flint (this one has no internal ignitor). Keep your fingers well clear and the gas flow turned very, very low when lighting.
I used this stove with the GSI Microdualist, whose pot fits well on the supports but the stability of the whole assembly is iffy without a nice flat surface to rest the canister on. I spent a good five to ten minutes making a nice pile of dirt and rocks to hold it. This isn't the fault of the stove, though, so an external canister stabilizer can probably can go a long way.
It seems that temperature stability for cooking is an issue with these types of stoves; I can't comment since I only used to boil several liters of water. With the flow on a conservative setting in ~36F temps I was able to boil 1L of water in not more than five or six minutes. I probably did about six liters and it seems to have consumed about 2/3 of a bottle of fuel, so there's plenty of gas in a 4 oz bottle for one or two people for a weekend. My original plan was just coffee; I ended up doing hot chocolate, noodles, soup, and oatmeal for three and having hot food for a change was fantastic.
Highly recommended -- good buy, lightweight, and well-made."
"This is a great stove. If you are looking for a stove to heat water for meals, this is the stove for you. It fits inside the Trek 700 Ti pot with a fuel canister. It is so much quieter than my dragonfly stove. I now can cook by others again without the noise of the blow torch. I like how small it is 1.9 oz. But don't let the small size fool you. It will boil water fast and also simmer well. This system will cut my stove size and weight a lot. It is also more fuel efficient than my MSR stove, less fuel to bring."
Pros:
"I relied on this stove for 6 continuous months of cooking during my Appalachian Trail thru-hike, and it never let me down. It was very efficient in fuel usage, averaging 20 2-cup water boils for each 8oz fuel canister. In cold weather the Snow Peak brand canisters did seem to perform better, but over the course of the hike I burned just about every brand out there, depending upon what was available, without issue. Even after bouncing along inside a cookpot for 2200 miles it still looks, and cooks, like new."
