"Product simply works as it's supposed to. I installed it in an open PCIe slot of my Early 2008 Mac Pro and all USB and FireWire devices connected to it so far have worked flawlessly. I use a FireWire 800 hard drive connected to the built-in connection on my Mac so capturing footage from a DV camera can be troublesome. Using the camera through this card solved all problems."
Pros:
"I installed it in a new build using an ASUS z8na-d6 server motherboard. The hardware was a snap to install, and Windows 7 recognized it and installed the drivers without any issues. Every port has something plugged into it, and all connections work reliably. All in all, well worth the price."
Pros:
"I needed additional USB and Firewire ports."

"I bought this as my computer didn't come with enough USB slots in the back (using the ones in front were a pain). Plus, I did not have a firewire slot for my video camera. This baby took about 5 seconds to install. Only one hitch. Maybe I should have been smarter, but I had to ask. "Do you attach power to the card." The instructions simply said "pop it in the slot and close the case". I got an immediate response from the company. If you want to power external devices thru the card, attach a power cable. If all your external devices are self powered, you don't need the power cord. Safe bet is to just power it up anyway, so I did. There is a power plug-in right on the card. (The company admitted they needed to update the instructions) Works perfectly. Highly recommended."
