Pros:
"Sonnet cards are the best in the industry, Never the need for a software driver and never any issues. Sonnet US based tech support is spot on if needed. In the 10+ years I have owned various Sonnet products, I have never had a problem, or a failure, or needed to call them for tech support.
They work especially well in tandem, so make sure ALL your PCI cards come from Sonnet and you will never have any issues or conflicts."

Cons:
"If you do a lot of photo or video editing, you owe it to yourself to get an e-Sata drive, rather than using a USB or Firewire drive. The speed difference is noticeable. But you'll need to add ports to your computer to use that drive. That's where this card comes in, it adds four e-Sata ports via a PCI card.
It installed easily and works as described. Do check the manufacturer's website to make sure the card is compatible with your computer and OS."
Pros:
"Have it set up on a Mac Pro with 4 external Hard Drives. 2 of them are in a Mirrored RAID configuration. I have a total of 7 TB hooked to this card. No complaints! Decent price here as well, paying $50 less than our normal local supplier."
Pros:
"Running in an intel Mac Pro with 10.6.
Had to replace a different card that would no longer work under 10.6.
The Tempo E4P I also had installed just worked so I bought a second one to replace the card that had no drivers."
"Had a bit of trouble installing this in a 64-bit Windows 7 system, but Sonnet's tech support replied to my email within a few minutes. The solution was easy, and everything works as advertised."
Cons:
"Hi Chris,
What did you do to install it?
Greets Tim"
"I use this card for Video Production. I have two 4 Drive RAIDs on it (1 Usable, 1 Backup). I'm getting 230MB/s0 -240MB/s of those drives."
Pros:
"Easy installation, and this is the card you need if you want to edit HD on an older Mac Pro."
Pros:
"I needed eSATA inputs for data management. This was the best price on the web!"
Pros:
"Great solution much faster than FW800, just install and run no problems at all"

"We formerly were using the Sonnet Tempo SATA E2P 2-Port eSATA PCI Express Host Adapter installed in our Mac Pro workstation - connected to a Glyph 12 TB RAID. With the old card, we maxed out at speeds around 115 mb/sec and footage would periodically hiccup in Final Cut Pro. With the new E4P card, speeds are roughly double the E2P card and it's much smoother sailing when working with 1080p HD footage. Transfer speeds for copying files is also substantially faster. Installation was a breeze and the software was a cinch with Mac OS X Lion."
