"Trying to save some money by getting this version rather than the more expensive Pro from the same brand. Seems this was a mistake as reportedly the Pro card is much faster. Apart from this (which is my mistake) the card installed and worked without any hitch whatsoever. MPB with Snow Leopard...." Read Full Review
"I'll be honest I was unsure if I wanted to get this or the Pro version. I have a lot of Audio & Video files I transfer, meaning RAW data too. We know how larger those can be. The PRO version was a bit costly for me just being so I use this on the fly with my traveling laptop. The transfer speeds are fast..I do not think I will be patient enough to EVER go back to USB 2.0. I have a mac and this works wonders, installed the lastest driver off Sonnet Website and i was good to go after the restart. ESATA ALL THE WAY BABY...Until LightPeak comes out:)"
Pros:
"Made editing easier with 5 DV streams in Multicam Mode (Avid Media Composer Software Version) with media on external drive. There seemed to be some slight lag trying this with the FW400 port on my older 15" MBP. (Apparently I also needed an external HDD with 16MB buffer; 8MB cache HDD performance was unusable for 5 streams.) Maybe using a FW800 port would preclude needing this card in this circumstance, but as my older 15" MBP doesn't have FW800, I couldn't test that."
Pros:
"I have found the Tempo SATA ExpressCard/34 works great. It has done everything I expected it to. I have a website that I upload audio and video files I have created every week. I use the drive to connect to my external drive to save my video and audio files. The speed is amazing. I am completely happy with it."

MPB with Snow Leopard."
Pros:
"With limited hard drive space on my laptop now I can bring along a portable esata hard drive and start editing right on the shoot then easily continue when I get back to the studio and I want to work from my mac pro instead."
Pros:
"There are a lot of these on the market, this one seems to have full bandwidth and is reasonably priced. The way to go, USB drives quickly become a pain because they cannot be daisy chained and therefore require you to buy lots of USB hubs."
Pros:
"Low cost card to improve file writing and transfer.
A great improvement - The Pro Card must be even better but this one has worked great for us to use an external drive as a Photoshop scratch disc and to work directly from the external on large projects.
Works as advertised."
Pros:
"I have several portable drives with eSATA ports, but no port on my Macbook Pro. I was getting many freezes in FCP when drives were daisy-chained. This solved the problem. It gives two eSATA ports with amazing throughput at a great price."
Pros:
"I am using this product to run duel 1 TB drives for video editing. I was having lots of problems with the previous Card and found that it was incompatible with any versions of Mac OSX past 10.4. This new product works much faster."
Pros:
