"I did a lot of research on HDTVs and I knew what I was looking for. I love to watch football and I knew I wanted a 120Hz refresh rate. Other widescreen LCDs I have watched games on at friends' homes were nice, but you could see the corners and white spaces in the screen fall apart into little pixels whenever the action was too fast for the image to keep up with. The 120Hz refresh rate eliminates this problem. Pe..." Read Full Review

"After 14 months of use, the picture has become plagued by green scan lines being visible in low-light scenes. Next, the box indicates the set operates at 120 hertz but the back of the set clearly indicates it operates only at 60 hertz so low-light scenes in movies also plaged by morphing heads as the scan lines struggle to keep up with motion. Clearly a bait and switch instrument. The vivid setting overdrives th..." Read Full Review
People also told me that the picture would look horrible unless I upgraded to HDTV through my cable subscriber. I did upgrade and HDTV is amazing, but I am extremely impressed with the picture, especially the black levels on this TV even when not viewing HDTV. 40 inches is the perfect size for our living room. [...] I haven't discovered any downsides to this TV yet. [...] I had it set up in less than 30 minutes. I did it all myself and I am not a techno-geek. You can do it!"
Pros:
"This is our first big screen HDTV. We did a lot of research. Talked to a lot of friends who had LCD TV's and the consensus was Sony is the best. We also did a lot of side-by-side comparison in the other big stores. Sony definitely has a "visible" edge. As to whether it's worth it to you to spend the extra money, only you can make that decision. We think it's worth it, plus the seamless integration with the Sony Bravia Surround Sound (wireless) system is the icing on the cake. This is a quality TV. It's the best."
Pros:
"Pros
Beautiful Picture, very clear screen, 120hz is wonderful especially with HD hooked up to it. It becomes life-like. Colors are intense. Hookup was pretty easy. I have researched 40" TV's for approx. one year and I have always trusted Sony. Made an excellent choice with this purchase. All-in-All, "WOW" you are going to love it!!!!!
Cons
Price was higher than what I wanted to pay.
Additional Thoughts
I would highly recommend this TV."
"Pros
Great picture right out of the box. Wide viewing angle. Built in digital tuner pulls in Local "over the air" digital channels. Dells Price beat Best Buy by $300.00, with no interest for 12 months, free shipping, it was a no-brainer.
Cons
Speakers aren't that great. TV shows not in HD look kinda crummy. I beleive that with this TV I can now see how bad regular tv is. Now I have to upgrade to an HD service.
Additional Thoughts
My PS3 looks absolutely AMAZING on this TV, playing games or watching Bue Ray. Bought a Sony DVD player at the same time with "up convert" and even DVD's now look amazing ! I was a little concerned about the price, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. My brother just bought a similar sized Samsung and my Sony blows it away."
"Short good review - product arrived from J&R in original package, no surprises, great shape, awesome product. I bought from J&R after looking at many models at the store and like this one over Samsung because it has anti-glare and a way better look :)"
Pros:
"Pros
Sony has done it again...standard definition looks amazing while HD looks as if you are looking out of the window. From out of the box and turned on took less than 15 minutes. I highly recomend this TV, it is just breath taking. I will never own anything other than Sony if everything they make is this good.
Cons
NONE and I mean NONE
Additional Thoughts
Awesome TV. Stop looking and buy this one, you will not regret it. I got mine on sale, but even at full price it would be worth it!"
"This is a great TV. When your in a pitch black room and you see that illuminated Sony emblem, you know that your money is worth it. It was soo simple to set-up that i didn't even read the manual to setup my surround sound system, blu-ray, xbox 360, and TV. Everything set-up like a breeze. My only compliant is the menu. I can be difficult at times to know and forget which menu you're changing, like the blu-ray and TV menus which look identical. But overall, this TV producing elegant, vivid, and explosive color really add that little something to your living room"
"My wife and I wanted a TV in the bedroom. The overall goal was to select an excellent quality TV that would mount on the wall between our two closet doors. I purchased the Sony after a few months of research on flat panels - this included online as well as going to retailers to watch TV. I don't believe I have seen a better quality flat panel anywhere - period!About OneCall - I have purchased from e-tailers for some time now [...]I would definitely buy from OneCall again. In closing, I have been pretty handy with tools over the years and purchased a Sanus wall mount that was a breeze to install and hang (my wife helped me lift and position it on the mount). Honestly, I believe almost anyone could hang the TV - if you can use a drill, ratchet, level, and stud finder (buy one that senses the edge of the 2x4). The only recommendation I would give is that I used the stud finder with several passes to ensure that it was accurate and the level to draw a straight line between the two stud centers. These minor tools allowed me to drill holes dead center of the 2x4 studs!"

"Pros
I was looking for a good tv for over a year before i finally settled for the sony.Boy i made the right choice. The picture is just fantastic. The picture is the same reguardless of what model you choose but you have the choice of what model you want for your certain needs.Thats the great thing with sony.
Cons
