Easy to adjust and the brand name is one of the leading brands on the market. The model is KDL 32 MDS and we have not had any problems for the past two years. "This is not a high-end LCD TV, but it's a great value if you are on a budget and still want to enjoy a good quality HDTV. I am happy with my purchase because it meets my expectations. Television channels/games/DVD movies look good on this TV. Only gripe i have about this TV is that movies with dark scenes appear extremely dark on the screen, even after making settings adjustments to try to make it better...." Read Full Review

"I was looking to replace a 16+ year old Samsung 19" television for my master bedroom. I own Sony and Samsung televisions currently. About a year and a half ago I bought both my kids 27" Samsungs for their bedrooms. With one little hitch with one of them not turning on once, they work great. However this Sony lights up the master bedroom! I read all of the comments, mostly good and some bad. The ONLY thing that could be possibly considered bad is that it takes just under 20 seconds for television to display a picture using HDMI input. I matched TV with a new DIRECTV HD/DVR and have receiver and TV set to display 1080i. Its max resolution is 720p but unless you are an expert, you can't tell in a TV this size. In Best Buy some TVs looked better side by side but they never have TVs calibrated properly. Once you get it home, go into picture and audio settings. Use custom setting and play around until you are content. All of the options that have Off, Low, Medium and High options set to Medium. As far as Audio is concerned, choose Custom and set Treble and Bass to Max. I've never seen a TV for $404 with a small EQ. All types of programming sound awesome now. My son heard my TV from his room and came in! This TV is a steal for $404 and even worth the normal $429 price. Sony Is STILL The One And Only!"

Cons:
"The TV had plastic tape in 1 mounting hole that I had to remove with a needle-mose pliers before assembling the stand. Power up time is about 13 seconds until a channel is displayed. Channel change time is about 2 to 4 seconds (I think most of the new digital TVs are probably this way). The Jump button does not always return to the previously watched channel if you only watched that channel a few seconds. The Favorites list is a "push-down stack", so the order of channels changes each time it is used. If the label for a channel is changed, then it may be displayed more than once in the Favorites list (see uploaded photo). There is no way to edit the Favorites list without re-running Auto Program (which clears the entire list). Occasionally, a message of the format "hh:mm Remaining" is displayed in the Info Banner, even though the Sleep Timer and other power-saving options are all off (see uploaded photo). Overall, the color is fabulous when watching sporting events, but the color is quite reddish when watching some news channels (i.e. Fox News). Maybe this is just their studio lighting. I like that the remote control is flat on the bottom, which prevents it from scooting off of a table when pressing a button without having the remote in your hand."

"I had it shipped to Iraq[...]it took me 10 minutes to set it. The picture looks good so far so good. the only issue i have with this TV is remote other than that, it's good."

Cons:
"Picture is excellent-- sharp with great color. Sound is good too. Easy to hook-up. Great options to adjust the picture and sound to your liking.
I wanted a 37" Visio to replace the 37" [...] that died. My husband saw this 32" for [$] less and kept coming back to (1) It's a Sony! (2) Look at that picture! (3) It's [$] less! The picture in the store did it for me-- it really did look better than all the TVs around it. Once I got it home and playing I had to admit-- my honey was right. The picture is very impressive. I'm not missing my 37" which really suprises me. Well worth the money. I'd recommend this to family and friends.
Hint to Buyers: I don't have HD satellite. If you have one of those satellite connections that you slip over a nub and twist to the right to tighten it on, the set up for this TV is different. When the TV starts to search for analog and digital channels just hit cancel. You can hit cancel anytime before the search is done. After you've hit cancel, turn the TV off, turn it back on, and viola! You have TV. (If you wait for it to finish the search it finds nothing and starts displaying info about hooking up an antenna. This was in the directions but not incredibly clear.)"
"Got this to watch movies and the World Series in HiDef. Picture is great; I think I prefer the 720p at this size. Seems smoother, somehow. Handy features, easy to use, automatically adjusts to various picture sizes during the TV broadcasts. Biggest delight is the sound. It's not wow-that's-awesome-feel-the-bass-in-my-chest home theatre sound, but it's really, really good for in-TV sound. Has a broad range without riding the volume control. I can hear light switches clicking in a quiet movie scene and later get rocked by an explosion, without having to adjust the volume up or down. The sound is very full-bodied, not tinny or weak, and works great watching from 6'-12' away in my smallish living room. So probably won't need sound bar after all! Very happy with it! WS looking great in HiDef, too!"

Cons:
"For the most part the TV is great, the only thing i would complain a bit about is the sound quality but its not too bad, you can always hook it up to a home theater system and you are good to go. Great for my room."

"I got this television for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. I did some research and figured that this would be the best tv. The size is great and at 720p it is perfect for playing games as most games are 720p native. Games look amazing on this. For the best picture I recommend setting the picture mode to Vivid for each input. Also, people have said that the speakers sound tinny. This is because the default setting has treble set to +6 in the audio options. Just set this to 0 and also turn Surround to On. Now it sounds great and make sure to do that for each input. This is an amazing tv with a great price."
