"I bought two of these. The first one went bad within an hour of opening: the hing broken. The second last longer - however, it showed signs of poor quality from the beginning. After a drop, the door opened by itself - happened only once. If you replaced the battery, the code resets - good if you forgot your code, but bad if someone wanted to get to your stuffs. "Bought this for my 7 year old son who is very good with his money. He loved it until my 3 year old son dropped it and the door broke! What a disappointment. My kids love it-this is a replacement
"This safe is great for keeping all your "secret" and special stuff away from your sibs! The code can be changed as much as needed. Our only problem was the hinge on the previous one broke (after a lot of use) We'll see how this one holds up. Have been unable to determine if there is a warranty. "

My grandchildren were excited
"I had given these to two grandchildren aged 7 and 4 in 2004. So this year I followed up giving them to a 5 and 3 yr old from another family. I placed gift certificates to restaurants and play places to round out their gift. It was a hit both times! "
