"I had done a search for night sweats remedies and came across several products, some as high as $700.00 for a mattress cover that uses water to cool the bed,I didn't want to spend that much and not know if it would work or not, but I figured at $79.00 for the bedfan, if it didn't work out for me I wouldn't be out that much. I have told all my friends about this fan, it works wonders for night sweats,I sleep soooo..." Read Full Review

"I thought of making something like this myself but was sure someone must have had the same idea. So, I searced the net and found the bed fan. While an excellent idea, this thing is overpriced, cheap and flimsy. It hardly moves any air and it's noisy to boot. I installed it properly and really couldn't tell it was there except for the noise it made. Save your money and just ge a decent ocilating fan and place it ..." Read Full Review

I have told all my friends about this fan, it works wonders for night sweats,I sleep soooo much better since I purchased this fan (about 6mos ago) I use to wake up at least 6-10 times a night to use a cold wash cloth to cool myself off, now I sleep the whole night threw, if you are thinking of purchasing this fan, please do yourself a favor and buy it, if your on this site, you must need one and it really does work great."

Cons:
"This fan is awesome... I suffer from night sweats and hot flashes..this fan delivers quick cooling that gets me back to sleep asap. The only drawback is it is very light in weight, which is good on one hand but not so good on the other..the lightness of the product makes is slide out of place at night, which can make the air not circulate correctly under the sheets. I will be getting little velcro dots to attach it to my baseboard to hold it in place(I have a solid to the floor baseboard at the foot of my bed. Other than that it truly keeps you very cool while sleeping. I would highly recommend this product and have in fact been telling everyone I know about it!! My mom and brother just ordered one(my brother travels to Mazatlan twice a year and it is very humid and hot, so he is really looking forward to cool nights with this product, my mom suffers from extreme hot flashes due to the medicine she is taking for after care from breast cancer so she too is looking forward to hers also!!)"
Pros:
"I have Multiple Sclerosis. When I become overheated my MS symptoms worsen. I started using my "BedFan" this past summer. It is a great product for me! I've been able to sleep at night without the discomfort I feel when I become overheated. The "BedFan" actually lowered the electric bill because the air conditioner didn't have to run as often. I did have to buy new sheets that had a higher thread count. (The instructions recommend 400 or higher thread count.) This DID make the "BedFan" more effient. Once I bought a set of 600 threat count sheets I was able to keep the "BedFan" on a very low setting. I couldn't even feel air blowing on my feet or legs, yet my body stayed cool and comfortable. I recommend this product to fellow "MSers". Since I'm a woman and 48 years old,I also recommend it for menopausal symptoms...night sweats. This is a product that helped me save money and improves the quality of my life. Thanks for a super product "Brookstone"!!!"
Pros:
"I purchased this item for my fiance who is always hot sleeping and she does not get quality sleep. With the bedfan she can keep the covers on all night and get a constant breeze to keep her cool. It is a great alternative for people who's windows cannot accomodate an air conditioner. If you wanted to purchase a portable AC for $400 you could, but the bedfan is a more cost effective way to go. It is also hidden under your sheets and only uses minimal space. Great for small apartments/condos."
Pros:
"My husband and I fight over the air conditioning every summer. I like it cool, he would rather not see his breath. I sleep hot, he just sleeps. So this is perfect and so far, has been a marriage saver. I had it on my side of the bed but my husband decided we should share so it is now in the middle of the bed. The control lets you pick how much air is coming thru and because it is pulling air from under the bed it is cool. And it's quiet. The energy bills should be quiet abit lower this summer!"
Pros:
"Let me say that I loved this product. I was doubtful at first, but I've slept with remote controled fans pointed directly at me for years. My husband hates the air from a fan blowing directly on him. This was the answer to our problems. And blowing only on my feet, this fan really worked. And I kept the control under my pillow so I could lower and raise the air flow as needed. Unfortunately the whole thing is plastic. The bar that lifts the sheet is also plastic, attached by velcro, and after one week the bar snapped in half. So beware that its not made that well. But I did order another one."
Pros:
Cons:
"It takes a little upfront work to adjust it correctly & run the cord for the control...but it is so worth it...even set very low is effective. I turn it on as I'm getting ready for bed & the sheets are nice and cool. Use something like short pieces of pipe insulation on either side of the fan between the mattress & box springs; keeps the sheets from untucking."

Cons:
"I have been a very hot sleeper for years and after moving in with my fiance' who likes the room much warmer than I do to sleep in, I found myself suffering every night, nothing I did would make the room cool enough. We had the heat down to 60 and the window open behind us and it still wasn't cool enough for me! So I did some research, and I found the bedfan online about a week ago, got it last friday night and have had the best sleep EVER! I no longer wake up sticky and sweaty and I was even able to sleep with the windows shut and I slept right through the night not waking up sweating ONCE! I love this product!! Just make sure to use a nice quality sheet (350- 400 thread count) and a comforter and pick up your dust ruffle so it doesn't block the fans under the bed, tuck that controller under your pillow and get ready for a great night's sleep!"
Pros:
"I was a skeptic, but read about it in the Green Millionaire book. So, I thought for [$] and a chance to be cooler at night under our beadspread, I'd try it. We can crank our a/c down to 70, but our MBR never gets cool enough, we just freeze the kids out of their rooms. This is the solution, as long as my hubby doesn't kick out the sheets. For my side of the bed it is great! My Hubby is always hot and is kicking out of the bed, with this, he is under the covers in the morning and our bed is in tact. We really love it, but wished it had a base to click into or sit in because our thinck carpet and heavy bedspread make it tilt a lot. It's ok, I just check the bed before I climb in at night to make sure the sheet is tucked in around it for it to work well. Like the Millionaire book said, our air is at 78 degrees and the kids are fine with that and now we are too at a real under the cover temp. of 70 degrees!"

I installed it properly and really couldn't tell it was there except for the noise it made. Save your money and just ge a decent ocilating fan and place it by your bed. This thing is junk. I did repurpose it so it's not a total loss. I use it to cool AV equipment. Does a good job at that. I'm going to design and build my own bed fan and I know it will out perform this lemon."
