"After much surfing on the internet for the highest "count" flannel bedding products, I came across your website. I was looking for flannel sheets that were of the highest quality. This is typically associated with a number ranging from 3-9 which correlates with the thickness and comfortability of flannel products. I came across listings of "German flannel", "Portugese flannel", and "Egyption flannel", to be of the highest quality, with ratings of anywhere from 5-8 on the rating scale. "These are the best flannel sheets I've ever bought, and I've bought several sets in the past. None have been as heavy-duty as these, even though they were advertised as such. These are wonderfully thick and comfortably soft. I had read a few reviews that mentioned heavy wrinkling coming out of the dryer, but I haven't had that problem. The color is a little different from shown, but I've noticed that with several Overstock items I've purchased so I allowed for that, LOL! I also ordered a set of pillowcases in the Mineral color and, luckily, they are the same quality, texture, and color! (I bought a set of plaid flannel sheets once that, after washing, were much thinner. Very inferior quality. Even after several washings, we would wake up stained with multiple colors! Needless to say, they turned into dropcloth sheets.)

I wish that sheet sets would come with the option of ordering extra pillowcases with them. We have 6 pillows that we sleep with and so usually need 2 extra sets if we want matching cases. I don't understand why pillowcases alone have to be so much of an expense.

Bottom line? Love these sheets and will definitely use them year 'round. Can't wait to order a couple more sets in different colors."

"I ALWAYS check reviews before I buy things, these sheets had great reviews so I bought them for my brand new king bed. After using them for about 3 months on and off (switching them out with another set) I am thoroughly disgusted with them! They shed like crazy! I bought the light blue ones and have a brown comforter on my bed, needless to say, there is blue fuzz EVERYWHERE! I have washed and dried these sheets a number of times and the problem (that I thought might go away after a few washings) just gets worst, I'm beginning to wonder how there's any sheet left given the hunks of blue fuzz all over my bedroom!

On the upside, the sheets aren't "pilling" per se, they are still nice and soft and comfy until they've been on the bed about 2 days and the shedding begins.

I've bought plenty of times on Overstock and always been please, in fact I always buy my linens here - this is the first time I've been displeased with a product. Like I said, I always read reviews and they tend to steer me in the right direction - not sure what happened on this occasion.

Maybe if you plan to wash the sheets 10 times before you use them they'd be fine.....?"

"All the reviews are true - these are the best sheets ever! I waited several months and read all the reviews before splurging on these sheets. When I got them in the mail, I immediately followed the user recommendations and washed them twice in a row according to the instructions. As expected, there were loads of lint. My partner and I emptied the lint trap every 15-20 minutes. We joked that we could make a whole other set of sheets with all the lint in there! When they were finished, the sheets were perfect - vibrant and beautiful in color (terracotta), super thick and plush, and not a pill in sight. They are so warm and soft that even my partner - who teased me about how much research I did - admitted that they were incredible. He loves them! They are so warm, though, that I might need to downsize from my super heavy down comforter. It's worth it - these sheets are the best sheets I've ever had by a long shot and I won't be giving them up for years. If you're thinking about getting these sheets, know that all the reviews are true. These sheets are incredibly warm, thick, soft, and beautiful! Enjoy!"

"I sleep on flannel year round and was looking for high quality flannel sheets. I also work in the environmental field. I was thrilled to find these heavy weight sheets, with safer dyes. I did a ton of looking on the internet before coming to overstock, and the price for these is a steal.When I put them on my bed, I can't find the words for how comfortable they are, other than yummy! I can't wait to get under the covers at night.I washed these before putting them on my bed and they are in the laundry as I type for the first time since I have used them. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because they shed a lot. I am assuming that will stop after another wash or two, but I just don't know. I bought two sets of sheets, one in sage and one in natural. The sage is a little muted and the natural was closer to white. On line, the colors look a little muddy, I don't know what they'd look like in person.Once I see how these wear, I may buy another set to keep on hand for whenever these wear out because these are truly such an amazing deal and are so comfortable and cozy."

"These are very nice heavy weight flannel sheets. They left a fair amount of fuzz in the lint collector after the first wash which was to be expected. They also left a collection of flannel pill balls after sleeping on them for a week which I had never noticed with flannel sheets before. I suspect this will stop after a few washings. I chose the Moss colored sheets which probably wasn't the best choice. I expected a lighter green from the pictures on the website but these look more military olive colored in person. The wife doesn't really care for the color, thus the two stars for appearance. She wanted to give it a zero but it doesn't look that bad and I'm sure it would have scored at least 4 stars for appearance in the barracks.

"I could not be happier with these sheets. Due to some oddities in the construction of our house, my room is the coldest during winter. Despite my heavy comforter and multiple blankets, I could never seem to stay warm enough. Since purchasing these sheets I haven't had any complaints. In fact, I've found myself staying in bed a little longer than I should just to revel in the luxurious softness these sheets offer. I purchased the set in the terracotta color and it is beautiful! So rich and warm, and matches my bedding set perfectly. The fabric is the best flannel I have ever seen - thick, soft, and cozy. You will likely experience some pilling even after the first couple of washes (make sure you empty out the fuzz-collector-thing in your dryer!), but this is simply due to the fact that the fabric is of such quality, and even after all that extra "fuzz" has been washed/worn off, I don't feel the quality of the product has been diminished in any way whatsoever. The sheets remain thick and cozy, and I couldn't be happier. I plan on purchasing another set asap!"

"The sheets are lovely and very soft when you get them. I have a very tall (extra plush) queen size mattress that is often hard to find sheets to fit. I have found the expensive ones work the best and this is no exception, the pockets fit my bed perfectly. Washed and dried when I first recieved them, yes tons of lint but not unexpected. What I did expect was with each subsiquent washing for them to become softer and for there to be less lint in my drier. After 4 months, they are not as soft and lush as when I puchased them and there is still tons of lint in my drier. There is also a little pilling which the flannels I purchased from Eddie Bauer 5 years ago for around the same price have yet to do. Although the incredible softness is no longer there, I do have to say they are still very warm and I am not sorry I purchased them. Would I recommend them, yes but not without mentioning the negatives. I am wondering is if different colors hold up better than others. I have found this to be true with other sheets and also towel sets I have purchased."

"Before I ordered these sheets, I read a lot of reviews and mostly everyone had good things to say. I ordered the sheets and the duvet in mineral and I cannot find one thing to complain about. Some reviewers said that you would get a lot of fuzz, I have seen nothing of that. Someone suggested that while they are in the drier you could empty the lint trap mid way and then again when the cycle is finished...........that was a good idea. My husband and I can't wait to climb into them at night, it is like cuddling up in a warm nest. You cannot believe how soft they are and it does make it hard to get out of them in the morning. I have had flannel sheets over the years but none to compare with these. My daughter bought Portuguese Flannel sheets which are suppposed to be better than the German flannel from another mail order source and raved about how soft they were. I didn't have the heart to tell her after helping her make her bed that mine much softer. So pick a color and treat yourself to these fabulously soft and cuddly sheets."
