"Birkenstock Arizona - Bought them because I have plantar fasciitis and needed the support for the beach. They were fine, I think they need to be broken in a bit before they are comfortable but the suede was soft and easy on the skin. I think I should have gotten the narrow even though I don't normally order narrows because these are very wide and loose on my feet but fine for the beach and pool. Wouldn't walk ar..." "these sandals are great, i have bought a pair in the past and they lasted a very long time. once you break these in you will love them. they are a little stiff at the begining but will mold to your feet like a sock after awhile. they are comfortable, stylish and durable. not a good beach sandal but more for casual or walking. great prices considering these go for about $110.00 or more at other online shops. i will continue to buy these sandals for life as i cannot find a better one that matches the quality of these."
Pros:
"Classic Birkenstock, extremely comfortable. Probably not as good for long walking as the 3-strap Milano but perfect for slipping on around the house or for casual wear. For me, they run 1-1.5 sizes big. (I have 46 cycling shoes, 45.5 Halfinger slippers, and take 44 Birkenstock.) I'm pretty hard on shoes and do wear out the cork and sole quicker than I'd like but they are repairable many times over for a reasonable price."

Cons:
"I use these for daily use and they are the most comfortable sandales i have ever purchased. I really don't like to take them off. However i wear a size 10.5 and bought a 43 and i think a 42 would have been a more ideal fit. They seem to long, but other than that i believe they are and excellent sandal"
Pros:
"Each second my feet are on the ground, I've had Birkenstocks on. I have a pain disease and to walk is torture like walking on marbles. I have my Birkenstocks beside my bed when I sleep and I put them on in the morning and NEVER take them off til I go to sleep. If it weren't for Birkenstocks, I flatly would not walk. 14 years ago, God's gift to me was Birkenstocks."

Cons:
"I live in these Sandals. The pair that I am replacing were at least 10 years old. They are so durable and comfortable. I would recommend these to anyone. I have a hard time walking sometimes but never have had problems wearing these for a long period of time. Love them!!"
Pros:
"Make sure to order a size down! I normally wear size 9.5 and have a wide foot and my perfect size is 39 narrow. So, 1st off, if you are female, I recommend getting the narrow unless your foot is really wide. The suede also stretches so even if they are a little tight in width at 1st, they won't be when you wear them in. That happened to my last pair of regular width suede Arizona's and they got really loose. Second, the size conversions on here are wrong. 39 does not equal women's 8-8.5, but 9. 40 is 10, and so on. So if you know your European size, go with that or 1 size down looking at the American conversions they give. As I mentioned I am size 9.5 normally and the 39's fit exactly like a 9. At first it felt like, if my foot was any bigger, they'd be too small. But the cork flattened out and indented from daily wear and now they fit exactly like a 9.5. Other that that, I love this shoe! They're kinda uncomfortable when you 1st wear them, but soon after become amazing. I got the mocha suede and they match so many outfits. And the slip on style is so convenient when you need to run out and get the mail or walk the dog real quick. Everyone should own a pair!"
"Great after break-in period - This is my second pair of Arizona s. The first was a pair my trendy son abandoned and I adopted. They felt great from the start and I wore them as often as possible. They became my favorite shoes, so, after 2 years when they began to look to worn, I ordered a new pair. The feel of the new sandals was not the same and my feet hurt after wearing them. I was told by my wife and daughter who are also fans of Birkenstocks that the cork bed would mold to my feet and over a break-in period become custom fitted and as comfortable as the old ones. If you are new to this type of shoe, keep this in mind if the shoes do not feel 100% out of the box. If the sandals fit but your feet hurt after wearing them for a while, begin to wear them for short periods of time during the break in period. You will be rewarded with a comfortable and classic sandal. (Note: these sandals can be refurbished very well, but I think the suede uppers of these sandals would still look a little dirty even after the soles and footbed were replaced.)"
"I purchased these for my 59 year old husband. We both wear the Birkenstock shoes with just about everything. He even wore the Boston with a suit to a business meeting in Austria."
Pros:
"I wear them on my feet, not sure what others do with their birks. They are the most comfortable thing I own. If there is a down side, I haven't found it."
