"I love this shoe!! I bought it a half size bigger as recommended and they fit perfectly. I have narrow feet with a very high arch and these are very comfortable. I switched from Mizuno Wave Alchemys, which I liked, but there is no comparison to these. I run 25 - 30 miles a week, and I haven't experienced this kind of support and cusioning ever. I chose these shoes based on a few hours of reading other runner..." Read Full Review

"Sure, after reading an article about these shoes, I was on board, but after running in them, I'd have to say I'll stick to my Mizuno or New Balance for more cushioning and support. These shoes look good, but feel thin and hard. Seems like they take longer than most to break in as well...." Read Full Review

I chose these shoes based on a few hours of reading other runner's reviews. I'm happy I took the time to do it. It was well worth the effort."

Cons:
"I have bad knees, high arches, and my heels are very narrow. Purchasing shoes without even trying them on has never before happened. I took the chance thinking I could send them back, and am so glad I did. I have no more pain in knees or feet as these shoes really hold my feet in perfect position. I don't know why, but I am not tired at the end of the day after being on my feet with these shoes. I wear them all day, every day. I love them, and recomend them to anyone."
Pros:
"Have owned several pair of Brooks. I think they took the biodegradable feature to the extreme on this. I have less than 80 miles on the shoe and holes are already forming where the big toe is on both shoes at the top of the toe box. They took off the toe guard that was on the Trance 7's. Shoes also have little cushioning compared to others. Ran a marathon in these and had very sore feet, never experienced this before in my prior 2 marathons. Very disappointed in this shoe from Brooks in its durability and performance."

Cons:
"Brooks Trance is the first pair of Brooks shoes that I have ever purchased. I did a fair amount of research on running shoes before deciding on this pair based on my running needs. I always buy Nike and decided to try something different. I will start training for a Marathon very soon. So far I love the shoes! They are very lightweight, breathable and are a sharp looking shoe. Looking foward to miles and miles in them this year."
Pros:
"It seems they changed something with the Trance it feels stiffer with a wider toe area. It might feel a bit heavier too? The Trance used to be too narrow at first then it would work itself into being wonderful after a few runs, now it's opposite stiff and wide but also getting broken in for a wonderful run. I run and sprint almost 7 miles a day. I will keep buying this shoe"
Pros:
Cons:
"This is the only shoe I will buy because it fits perfect evertime. I never have to worry about breaking it in or having spots that may rub and give me blisters. This shoe is great for women with wide feet and pronation in their feet. I buy the shoe a half size bigger to allow for swelling when I run."
Pros:
"Shoes came on time. Good service, I will order from online when these shoes wear out. First day they came I ran three miles in them and they felt great. No need to break in. Very stable and a lot of support, but they still have good cusion."
Pros:
"I run about 25 miles a week and the Trance 8 is in rotation with the ASICS Gel Foundation and the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7. This is my first pair of Trance, it is a bit more felxible than I anticipated. Overall I like the shoe and will put many miles on them before they become the grass cutting shoes."
Pros:
"Brooks Trance 8: Hooray for BioMoGo! The November 2008 issue of Runners World was devoted to examining where running is in terms of sustainability and being "green." I ordered this shoe after reading the article on shoe manufacturer, and the discussion of the toxicity of foam insoles. Apparently Brooks is the industry leader in designing a greener insole. The Trance 8 insole is made from BioMoGo (check out the Brooks website for more info), which supposedly biodegrades in 20 years in a landfill, vs. 1000 years for traditional foam in other insoles. Shoe manufacture is still not green, but this is a start, and we have to start somewhere. These shoes fit and perform as well as my previous non-BioMoGo Brooks, and I find the padding to be just right. I weigh about 120 pounds and run 30+ miles a week. I recommend these shoes, and Zappos, for their efficiency, dependability, and good customer service."
