"I returned the cats meow bag for this one. I can say this blows it out of the water. As another reviewer stated the cats meow feels crinkly - I imagine you'd get the same comfort and warmth from a hefty garbage bag as TNF Cats Meow bag, and think of the savings! As for this bag it weighs 48oz so its not ultralight but it not overweight either since its temp rating IS HONEST - hmmm... take some notes TNF. I ..." Read Full Review »

"After taking this bag out on a few alpine trips, I have to say that I need a better (warmer) bag. I must admit that my legs get cold when I sleep (even at home), but this was ridiculous. Although the bag does have a draft collar, it does NOT have a draft tube, oops! Needless to say (I love that phrase) this will be the last bag I get that does not have a draft tube. The first trip was a kayaking trip to Loon Lake..." Read Full Review »

I took it to the Tetons in wyoming it went down to about 36 at night. I slept in PJs with a smart wool hat I love that hat and I slept like a baby. I'm a very cold sleeper . The material rivals a home comforter. If you don't believe order this bag and see for yourself. The bag has room for people who like to fidget like me. Its a warm cozy bag - if you are looking for synthetic this may be the bag for you. If weight is an issue give a gander at the Ultralamina series. Just in case you are wondering I don't work for MH if you think I do check out my review on the MH Agama Back Pack - what a downer that was!"

Mountain Hardwear Lamina 20° Sleeping Bag Review
"My wife and I just bought a mateable pair of these bags one mens one womans. We are big folks and these bags are quite comfy I am about 5' 9 230. We used them the first time over the thanksgiving weekend the first night it was 13 F. We started out with the bags mated but we switched over to single bags after about 2 hours because we needed to use the hood and sleep on our sides. I was able to keep relatively warm even though the temp was so much lower than the rating of the bag. I slept in my sweat pants and a heavy shirt. My wife who simply put runs colder had a hard time however, it was just as cold the next night and we bought a 10 F liner and she was just fine. I love the fact that these bags come with a large mesh sack for long term storage AND a compression stuff sack. When I first read reviews on these bags i did not understand why people complained about the size of pockets inside the bag. I was thinking with all of the pockets in the tent what was the big deal. However after hunkering down in 13 F weather in the tent trying to listen to a book on my iPod I understood the criticism. My iPod does not fully fit in any of the pockets. However my watch, keys and other small stuff did fit fine. Overall we are very very happy with our choice and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a bag in this price/temperature range."

Mountain Hardwear Lamina 20° Sleeping Bag Review
"Took over two weeks to get the sleeping bag... I had a chance to field test the bag on a two night trip. slept in 1 man tent, sweat shirt and pants, socks and wool hat, We faced a small snow storm 4, temps dipped into the teens and I was very comfortable. The bag has more room than your typical mummy bag so I didnt feel restricted. The material is very soft and silky, made sleeping outside very nice. It comes with a mesh bag for storage and a compression sack. The compression sack took a bit of practice to fit the sleeping bag in but now I have it down to a science."

The first trip was a kayaking trip to Loon Lake where the temps got down to the mid to upper 20s. The cold was unbearable. Even though I was wearing fleece pants, two fleece tops, and socks, I still had to pile every piece of clothing, fabric, rope, drytop, wetsuit, etc. over my body and legs to stay warm. I never did sleep, I just laid awake all night shivering, for two nights. The second trip was a fishing trip to Eagle Lake (where I limited out with some nice Eagle Lake trout). The temps dipped down to the low to mid 40s. While wearing fleece pants, TNF TKA 100 top, and an Icebreaker 260 top, I still managed to be cold. I finally threw a towel over my legs to get through the night.I like the sleeping bag, but it just doesnt deliver on the temp rating. It is soft and cozy, yet big enough for me to roll around in (I am a side sleeper, 5-8, 130lbs). The 20 degree rating may only apply to those people that can walk around all winter in shorts.I own the regular size."

Mountain Hardwear Lamina 20° Sleeping Bag Review
"it's a great sleeping, i used it at 4700 meters in snow and it kept me warm, even wearing boxers only, but i found two mistakes first one is that the zipper dosn't have the inside protector that prevents you from touching it during the night and the other ones is that the collar sticks with velcro and it releases very easy."
